STANDING ON THE PROMISES OF GOD

Bible Texts: Jas.1:25, 2Tim.2:15, Eph.1:18-19, Rom.2:7, Jn.14:26, Pro.4:20-22, Deut.28:1, Ps.138:2, Jn.5:39, Eph.5:25-28, 1Pet.3:7-9, Eph.6:4, Deut.6:7

The word of God represents the promises of God for you as the husbandman and today I want to encourage you to believe what the word of God says and watch your life make progress as the good and godly man, husband and father.

But how assured are the promises of God for me as the husbandman?

The entrance of thy words giveth light, it giveth understanding to the simple. Order my steps in thy word and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. Thy word is very pure, therefore thy servant loveth it. (Ps.119:130, 133, 140)

The Scripture says that the word of God is pure. This means that whatever God has said in His word for you is true because He is not a man that will lie. If you can trust the word of God for your life, you can be guaranteed of dominion and direction in your leadership roles as the good and godly man, husband and father.

This is why you need the word of God to become like Jesus Christ in thoughts, words and actions because the word of God contains the following benefits.

Firstly, the word of God contains the principles and instructions of God. Secondly, the word of God is what you obey to become the good and godly man, husband and father. Thirdly, the word of God is what gives value to your roles as the husbandman.

But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty and CONTINUETH THEREIN, he being not a forgetful hearer but a DOER OF THE WORK, this man shall be blessed in his deed (Jas.1:25)

Therefore, keep standing on the promises of God for your life as the husbandman as you give yourself to searching the word of God, staying on the word, believing what the word of God says and practicing what the word of God commands you to do as the good and godly man, husband and father (Ps.1:1-3, Jas.1:25, Pro.4.20-22, Deut.28:1).

You have a glorious heritage in Jesus Christ. Stand on the promises of God.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to delight in You and Your word as a way of life.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, I open my heart to receive Your instructions, commandments, admonition and principles.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to obey all Your commandments and instructions from Your word.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am standing on the promises of God and I give myself to searching, believing and doing all that word of God commands and instructs because that is the pathway for me to become the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.
