WALKING IN THE STEPS OF JESUS IS PROFITABLE

Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us, let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Heb.12:1-2)

The walk of the husbandman is a journey. It is a race you must run. And if you must make it as the good and godly husbandman, you must know the right path and that is what Jesus Christ, represents, which you can follow.

Following Jesus Christ in your words and in your actions as the man, husband and father is profitable to you here on earth and hereafter. Hence, your perfect example of the good and godly husbandman is JESUS CHRIST and that is the Person you must follow (Eph.5:1-2).

But why should I follow and walk in the steps of Jesus Christ as the good and godly husbandman?

The first reason is because Jesus Christ is perfect and He is love.

The husband should love his wife as Christ has loved the church (Eph.5:25)

Secondly, it is the perfect will of God for you to be like Jesus Christ even as you relate with your wife, children and in the market place because Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life.

Thirdly, Jesus Christ represents the light and life that you and I need to be useful as husbandmen.

I came that ye may have life and have it more abundantly (Jn.10:10)

The more of Christ nature you have manifesting in and through you, the more you will be like Jesus in your conduct as the man, husband and father (Jn.1:4).

But for you to follow the example of and walk in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, you must have a personal relationship with Him by confessing your sins before Him and making Him to be the Lord over your life (Jn.3:3, Acts 10:32-36). You must also engage in the study of the word of God, meditating and praying the word into your life until it becomes a reality (Jos.1:6-9, Ps.1:1-3, Pro.4:20-23, Mk.9:29, Lk.18:1, Jn.14:26, Gal.4:19, 2Tim.2:15)

Walking in the steps of Jesus Christ and following after His examples is what guarantees your growth, development and manifestation of the character of the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to follow You in all things and walk in Your steps.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to obey You and all Your instructions, joyfully.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to be like You in my thoughts, words, action and conduct.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am a new man in Christ Jesus and I follow after Jesus and walk in His steps because I am committed to becoming like the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
