Today’s teaching was done in 2023 and just this morning the Person of the Holy Spirit reminded me to reenact the teaching again and I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that the Spirit of God behind His word shall deliver any husbandman from the power of depression. Amen.

In the recent past, there has been incidence of many husbandmen slipping into depression because the challenges of life and unmet expectations. As the husbandman, it is true that there are so many expectations you have for yourself, your family and even your community that you are unable to meet. The pressure to meet the demands of your family, work and extended relations is real. It seems you work very hard and it doesn’t look like anything is working.

On a daily basis, it doesn’t seem you are making any concrete progress. It appears as if all doors of success are locked against you and there is no help coming your way from anyone or place. And in your confused state and struggle, satan shows you how worthless you are as the man, husband and father. Satan tells you that life is cheap and can be terminated. He drags you into a depressive state and tells you that you do not lose anything killing yourself. He shows you how simple it is to take your life. He tells you it is the best alternative to your challenges. He magnifies your problems and makes you think that you are the only husbandman who is going through those struggles. He tries to make your problems bigger than they appear. And in all of these, you fall into depression and conclude that suicide is the way out. It is a big lie!

Don’t fall to the lies of satan. He wants to accomplish his assignment to steal, to destroy and to kill in your life (Jn.10:10).

Now, see what the Word of God says as a way out of this satanic landmine of depression.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice! (Philp.4:4)

The joy of the Lord is the cure to fear, hopelessness, discouragement and doubt that leads to depression and culminates in suicide. Your hope in God, His word and the testimonies of others is and must be your anchor as you walk the path of life as the man, husband and father.

Job said,

I know my redeemer lives (Job 19:25)

I want you to make this your declaration whenever satan whispers defeat, hopelessness and fear to your ears. I know my Redeemer lives!

And when the things, circumstances and people around you seem to be shouting loudest and showing you that you are a failure and you will not succeed as the good and godly man, husband and father, shout this loud and in faith, hope and love,

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fall, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls. Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord is my strength and he will make my feet like the hinds feet and he will make me to walk upon my high places (Hab.3:17-19)

You have a glorious destiny in God. Fear not (Is.41:10).
