Bible Texts: Philp.3:14-15, Lk.16:15-16, Jer.1:10-12, Matt.6:22, Jn.10:30, Gen.2:15, Eph.5:25, 1Cor.13:4-8, 1Pet.3:7-9, Eph.1:18-19, Philp.2:13, Gal.4:19, Job 14:14
I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ….And I run toward the goal to take the victory of calling of God……..(Philp.3:14-15)
As the good and godly husbandman, God wants you to never give up on your assignments as the man, husband and father. God wants you to press on towards the goal of your high calling as the husbandman. My prayer is that you will not throw in the towel to satan, sin and the world through discouragement, despair and fear. Rather, you will press and continue to press until you become the good and godly husbandman.
There are two important truths from Scriptures that must guide your determination to keep pursuing God’s perfect will for your life as the husbandman.
The first is in Genesis Chapter 2.
God took the man and set him down in the Garden of Eden to work the ground and keep it in order (Gen.2:15) MSG
God has ordained you to be in command and to be the leader in your home so that you can showcase His nature and likeness in all that you do and to everyone you lead and relate with.
The second is in John Gospel chapter 10.
My sheep recognize my voice. I know them and they follow me….. No one can steal them out of my hand (Jn.10:30) MSG
You are the man of great influence and authority. Neither satan, sin and the world has the power to steal from you or make you regret being the husbandman. This is why you must react against anything or circumstance that is contrary to the perfect will of God for your life as the good and godly husbandman. You must fight satan, sin and the world to recover and restore whatever may have been stolen, destroyed or lost just as David did (1Sam.30:18-20).
You must understand that no one will take the responsibility to press for you. Not your pastor, bishop, reverend, parents, government, relations or friends can. You are the only person who can press towards the goal of the high calling God has set for, working with Person of the Holy Spirit. You must also appreciate that you are in a warfare and not funfair (Eph.6:12). Satan, sin and the world are daily contesting your godly leadership as the husbandman, but you must know that Jesus Christ has already made you more than a victor (Rom.8:37).
Therefore, press on!
Hallelujah!
