70 DAYS OF PRAYER AND FASTING

Calvary greetings to you all in Jesus name, amen. I am convinced that the year 2024 has shown the faithfulness of God in every area of your life despite the challenges. May the helps you have received from God continue to speak in your life, family, work, health, finances and relationships all the days of your life.

However, it is important for you and I know that spiritual preparation is what empowers any believer to gain mastery over the challenges of life. Jesus speaking in Luke gospel chapter eighteen (18) and verse one (1) says, men ought to pray and not faint (Lk.18:1). Jesus Christ, our perfect example (Heb.12:1-3), returned in the power of the Spirit after He had fasted for 40 days. His results were not only genuine but they were undeniable.

In Mark gospel chapter nine (9) and verse twenty-nine (29), the Scripture has this to say, as Jesus reaffirmed the spiritual importance of prayer and fasting. And Jesus said, this kind goeth not forth except by prayer and fasting (Mk.9:29). And Apostle Paul shared with us the secrets of his impactful life when he declared that in fastings often…(2Cor.11:27).

So, it has been established from the Bible that prayer and fasting remain one vital tool to keep our spirit man spiritually alert and empowered. And to the glory of God, this year 2024/2025 Force of Change is the twelfth (12) annual spiritual exercise that began in 2012/2013, when the Spirit of God instructed me to lead the people in a spiritual journey.

Prior to this divine instruction to pray and fast for 70 days, I had fasted 58 days based on the prompting of the Spirit of God. In all of these, testimonies had abounded in the lives of those who had engaged themselves in the spiritual exercise in faith and desperate expectation.

I therefore invite you to join in this empowerment summit, irrespective of your denomination and I am confident that you will experience a new beginning even as you give yourself to the demands in Jesus name. Amen

BUT WHAT IS THE FORCE OF CHANGE?

But what is the force of change?

The Force of Change is the period when we wait upon the Lord in a fast, in word and in prayers. It is the period we set ourselves apart unto God, to seek His face, know His plan for us and receive power to be like Jesus Christ on the earth. It is 70 days of prayer and fasting. And it runs from December to February.

At the core of this spiritual exercise are three cardinal pillars-

1. THE WORD OF GOD,
2. PRAYERS/INTERCESSIONS AND
3. FASTING.

Any believer in Jesus Christ in any denomination, fellowship or church is invited to participate in this empowerment exercise.

Why do we fast and pray?

We fast and pray because it is the will of God for us as believers and it is necessary for our spiritual, emotional and physical growth. It also gives us spiritual stability. ((Mk.9:29, Is.58:6-12, 2Cor.11:27, Lk.2:37)

What then is not fasting?

1. It is not a religious exercise or the doctrine of any church or denomination.
2. It is not hunger strike or alternative to lack of food

And what is fasting?

1. Fasting is a spiritual seed, which when sown has the capacity to produce great fruits (Is.58:6-7)
2. Fasting is a sacrifice and a memorial unto God (Lk.1:5-13)

However, for you to access the full benefits of this spiritual exercise, you must deliberately and willingly take the following steps,

1. Walk in Love: You must walk and work in love towards God and all men. You must rid yourself of bitterness, anger, envy, unforgiveness and any such things (Gal.5:21-23)
2. Word Attention: You must give attention to the Word of God by studying it and meditating on it. Let the word of God become your basis for living (Pro.4:20-25, Jas.1:21-25, Jos.1:8-9)
3. Maintain focus: You must maintain focus and stay on track towards your expectation. You must deal with distraction (Matt.6:22)
4. Great Faith: You must maintain an unwavering faith in God, His promises and His ability to perform your expectations.(Matt.11:22-24, Heb.11:1-3)
5. Attitude-Gratitude: You must cultivate an attitude of gratitude, giving thanks to God for what He has done and will do

With this understanding therefore, and to the praise of God Almighty, the fasting with prayers for 2024/2025 kicks off from

HOW TO GO ABOUT THE PRAYER POINTS AND FASTING

1. EVERYONE IS EXPECTED TO BREAK HIS OR HER FAST AT 1800 HOURS (6:00 PM) EACH DAY, EXCEPT FOR NURSING MOTHERS, PREGNANT WOMEN OR THOSE WHO MAY HAVE HEALTH CHALLENGES

• EACH PARTICIPANT MUST MEDITATE ON THE SCRIPTURES FOR EACH DAY
• EVERYONE IS EXPECTED TO RISE UP AT 12 MIDNIGHT EVERYDAY TO PRAY WITH THE SCRIPTURES FOR THAT DAY AS CONTAINED IN THE PRAYER BULLETIN
• EVERYONE IS EXPECTED TO PRAY FOR A MINIMUM OF 30 MINUTES. YOU ARE TO COMMENCE EACH PRAYER DAY WITH 5 MINUTES OF THANKSGIVING, PRAISE AND WORSHIP
• AT THE END OF EACH PRAYER DAY, EACH ONE SHOULD SHOUT HALLELUYAH 7 TIMES AS A SIGN OF VICTORY AND FREEDOM

WHAT MUST YOU EXPECT DURING AND AFTER THE FASTING AND PRAYER

It is often said that expectation is the mother of manifestation. The Scripture also affirms that the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut off (Pro.24:14)

Therefore, expect the following strange order of blessings,

1. Deeper relationship with the Person of Jesus Christ (Rom.1:16)
2. Ceaseless flow of joy in the Holy Ghost (Is.23:15). Every area of your life where the devil had stolen you joy, God shall restore it to you a thousand more times.
3. Speedy and uncommon accomplishments (Dan.9:2). Many of us are due for great accomplishments but somehow we have remained stagnated on the same spot. God shall empower you to experience an uncommon speed of accomplishments that will shut the mouth of your doubters.
4. Supernatural connection and contact (Lk.10:1). Many are due for uncommon appointments that will move them to the next level yet they are still going round circles. God shall bring you face to face with His ordained helpers of your destiny.
5. All round success (Lk.10:17). Many have lost money, career, ministry, families, jobs, health, business, dignity and much more. God shall make you experience an uncommon restoration after the order of Job.

Therefore, mobilize your friends, neighbours, family members, colleagues and as many people as you can to be part of this life changing experience with the God of Host.
