THE FATHER’S PERFECT WILL FOR YOU
Bible Texts: Jn.6:38-39, Jn.10:28, Jn.10:10, Jn.8:32, 2Tim.2:15, Is.61:9, Gal.4:19, 1Pet.3:7, Eph.5:25-27, Rom.10:10, Heb.11:2
Did you have any idea what your heavenly Father’s will is for you as the husbandman? Did you know why God gave you a family-wife and children? Did you know the purpose why God sent you into the lives of your wife and children and gave you a home?
Now consider these words of Jesus Christ.
For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which sent me, that of all which he hath given me, I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day (Jn.6:38-39)
Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman mentioned the assignments that God sent Him to do. He said that the perfect will of God for which God sent Him to earth to do is to keep and to make valuable all that God has given to Him. The message here is this. Your heavenly Father has given you all things including your wife and children. His perfect will is for you to keep, nurture, protect, provide, guide, inspire and lead them in the way and admonition of the Lord (Eph.6:4). That is the perfect will of God for you.
As the husbandman, you can fulfill the perfect will of God, by the knowledge of the truth of what God commands you to do as the man, husband and father. This means that you must keep searching the Bible to find out the truth and apply yourself to it (Jn.8:32, 2Tim.2:15). You must also give yourself to prayer and fasting so that you can be empowered to operate in the wisdom, strength and faith of God (Is.61:9, Gal.4:19, 1Pet.3:7, Eph.5:25-27). You must keep declaring what God has said in His word concerning His perfect will for your life as the man, husband and father (Rom.10:10).
God wants you to keep what He has given to you. God doesn’t waste resources so He is reminding you today to awake from your slumber and be intentional in fulfilling His perfect for your life as the husbandman.
