FORCE OF CHANGE: DAY 7

Spread the love

WALKING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS, PLEASING JESUS CHRIST

Bible Texts: Lev.1:1-3, 2Cor.7:1, Rom.12:2, 2Pet.3:14, Ps.24:1-3, Dan.1:8, Rom.10:10, Ps.133:1, Ps.1:1-3, 1Cor.15:33, Rev.12:11

The Lord called to Moses from the Tabernacle and said to him, give the following instructions to the people of Israel. When you present an animal as an offering to the Lord, you may take it from your herd of cattle or your flock of sheep and goats. If the animal you present as a burnt offering is from the herd, it must a male WITH NO DEFECTS.  Bring it to the entrance of the Tabernacle as you may be accepted by the Lord (Lev.1:1-3) NLT

One of the forces you must resist steadfastly as the husbandman is sin and all forms of unrighteousness. As the husbandman, you must be very careful how you live your life. You must understand that living a riotous and unrighteous life not only displeases God, it also creates a barrier between you and God and affects the quality of your relationship in the marketplace and with your wife and children and

Now, there are two levels of defects you must be aware of and resist, steadfastly. It is found in 2nd Corinthians chapter 7 and verse 1.

Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God (2Cor.7:1) NLT

There are actions you take that corrupt your spirit and there are also action you take that defile your body. For example, drunkenness, stealing, adultery, lying, physically abusing your wife are actions that defile your body, while bitterness, malice, unforgiveness, envy, doubt, emotionally abusing others, pride and bad will are all things that defile your spirit (Gal.5:22-23).

However, the perfect will of God is for you to live a healthy and righteous life in your spirit and body.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (Rom.12:1)

To deal with the actions which defile your spirit and body you must have and continue to maintain a healthy relationship with God through Jesus Christ (Jn.3:5-8, 2Cor.5:17). Secondly, you must identify with a Bible believing church, where the truth of the word of God is taught (Ps.133:1, Jn.8:32). Thirdly, you must devote your time for personal study of the Bible, meditating on the word of God and acting faithfully and consistently (Jos.1:6-8, Ps.1:1-3). Thirdly, you must make a firm commitment to desist from all forms of unrighteousness just like Daniel determined in his heart that he will not defile himself with the king’s meat (Dan.1:8, Gal.4:19). Fourthly, you must daily confess your righteous stand in God through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary (Rom.10:10). Fifthly, you must identify with fellow husbandmen who have testimonies of a righteous walk with God because iron sharpens iron (1Cor.15:33). Finally, you must daily plead the blood of Jesus Christ over your thoughts and actions so that they conform to the perfect will of God for you as the good and godly man, husband and father (Rev.12:11).

Obeying the instructions of the Scriptures always makes you grow and develop into the full stature of the good and godly husbandman. Therefore, walk in righteousness because it is profitable unto all things.
