YOU HAVE AUTHORITY IN CHRIST

One of the earnest expectations for you and I during the ongoing 70 days of fasting and prayers is for empowerment and authority- the ability to do the perfect will of God as the man, husband and father, regardless of the unpleasant circumstances or pressure.
Now, let us read the words of Jesus Christ and see the inherent power He has deposited in you as the good and godly husbandman, through redemption.
And they went into Capernaum and straightaway on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught. And they were astonished at his doctrine, for he taught them as one that had authority and not as the scribes (Mk.1:21-22)
Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman is a man of authority. He understood His assignment on earth and He fulfilled it by the power of God at work in Him, which is also at work in you (Rom.8:11).
Now what does it mean for you to be called a man of authority?
The authority you have as the husbandman is not to emotionally, mentally or physically molest or bully your wife and children. Rather the power you have is to empower you to be like Jesus Christ in your words and conduct. The authority you have in Christ is to enable you overcome the forces of satan, sin and the world that want to hinder you from living the life of the good and godly husbandman (Lk.10:19).
The authority you have is to enable you lead your wife and children in the ways and admonition of the Lord Jesus Christ (Eph.5:25-29, Eph.6:4, 1Tim.3:1-6).
But for you to exercise the authority of God in your life, you must have a personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ (Jn.3:5-7, 2Cor.5:19, Ps.24:1-2, Ps.1-1-3). Secondly, you must give attention to the study, meditation and obedience to the word of God (Jn.5:39, 2Tim.2:15, Jos.1:6-8). Thirdly, you must walk by faith and speak boldly the word of faith (Heb.11:1-6, Rom.10:10, Heb.11:32). Fourthly, you must walk in the love of Christ towards all people (Rom.5:5, Jn.3:16). Finally, you must engage the weapons of praise, prayer and fasting and keep your prayer altar burning (Mk.9:29, Lk.18:1, Lev.6:9).
God has given you authority and power to make your calling as the husbandman effective as the man, husband and father. Therefore, make your life a testimony to your wife, children and in the marketplace after the pattern of Jesus Christ.

- Father, in the Name of Jesus, let my light shine before all men and let it bring men to Your kingdom
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, baptize me with the Spirit of holiness
- Father, put in me a holy hatred for sin and destroy every taste of sin and its appeal in my life in the year 2025
FAITH CONFESSION
I have authority and I exercise it in godliness, mercy and the love of Christ because that is what makes me the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.
