UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF VISION
Bible Texts: Jer.1:10-12, Gen.13:14-18, Gen.1:2-3, Pro.29:18-19, Rom.5:5, Jn.10:10, Gen.12:1-3, Gal.4:19, Gal.2:13, Lk.18:1, Col.3:19, Eph.6:4, Ps.23:1, 1Tim.5:8, 2Tim.2:15, Jos.1:6-8
Today is the 27th day of the 70 days of fasting with prayers. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that every family shall experience the awesome power of God for a blessed journey all through this year of Rising and Shinning (Is.60:1-2). Amen.
One of the greatest weapons available for the husbandman to successfully lead himself and his family as the good and godly man, husband and father is vision. The ability to have the future in the present, derived from the word of God is what keeps the husbandman on course the journey to becoming a good and godly influence in his sheepfold.
With Abraham, God asked him to look northward and southward, because as far as his eyes can see, God will give to him (Gen.13:14-18). And to Jeremiah, although God said that He knew him before he was conceived in his mother’s womb, He still wanted him to understand the power of vision. So God said this to Jeremiah.
Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying Jeremiah, WHAT SEEST THOU? And I said I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the Lord unto me, thou hast well seen for I will hasten my word to perform it. (Jer.1:11-12) KJV
In the same manner that God asked Jeremiah what can he see, is exactly what is God is asking you today. What can you see?
Where there is no vision, the people perish (Pro.29:18-19)
Vision is life. Vision gives meaning and value to your existence as the husbandman. And as the good and godly husbandman, you can, by the power of vision, lead your role as the man, husband and father, regardless of the challenges that come with being a leader.
You must understand that the source of the vision for your life as the husbandman is from the word of God. The Bible provides you with the vision that God has for you as the good and godly man, husband and father. What you must do is to diligently search the Bible and you will find amazing visions of God for your life, wife, children and home.
The vision from God’s word allows you to see things not as they are but as God sees them. Secondly, the vision from the word of God allows you to act and remain steadfast in the pursuit of what is good and godly. Finally, the vision from God’s word brings you hope and joy.
Again, what can you see about yourself as the man, husband and father and your family in this year 2025?
