FORCE OF CHANGE: DAY 30

Spread the love

THE LAW OF PRAYER AND INTERCESSION

Bible Texts: Gal.4:19, Lk.18:1, Mk.9:29, 1Thess.5:17, Jn.15:5, Is.61:9, Jn.10:10, Lk.10:19, Is.30:21, Rev.12:11, Jer.33:3, Matt.7:7

Praise God! Today is day 30 of the 70 days of fasting with prayers. My earnest prayer is that we all shall experience a lift in every aspect of our lives in Jesus name. Amen.

Today, let us consider another law or principle of the husbandman and two Scriptures will form the foundation for us.

I travail in birth until Christ is formed in you…(Gal.4:19).

Men ought to always pray and faint (Lk.18:1)

From the above words of God, we can deduce two principles. The first law is the law of prayer and the second is the law of intercession. When you pray for others, it is called intercession (Gal.4:19). Then the second law is when you pray for yourself (Lk.18:1).

The law of prayer and intercession are important spiritual discipline the husbandman needs to have and live out. Praying for yourself and for others is not an option for you as the husbandman. It is a necessity. It is a commandment. It is the supernatural force that brings to pass the perfect will of God for you as the man, husband and father and for those you pray for.

But why is the principle of prayer and intercession an indispensable tool for me?

Prayer and intercession builds your power base, strengthens your confidence and faith in God and His ability (Ps.40:1-3, Jer.33:3). It also connects you to the supernatural of God that puts you in command of the circumstances of life, giving you authority to stop the influences of satan, sin and the world in and around your life and the lives of your wife and children and others that you pray for (Lk.10:19, Jn.10:10, Heb.11:30-32, Rev.12:10-11).

Finally, your practice of this law empowers you to grow and mature in the things of God because you are able to hear from God on what to do, what steps to take, where to go, how to go about your plans and decisions, what to say and the ability to discern (Is.30:21).

Therefore, make prayer and intercession your daily commitment.
