LOVE YOUR WIFE, TRAIN YOUR CHILDREN
Bible Texts: Eph.5:25-29, Eph.6:4, Col.3:19, Deut.6:7, 1Tim.3:2,4, Matt.5:14-16, Is.61:9, 2Tim.2:6, 1Cor.13:4-8, 1Tim.5:8
We give God all the glory and praise for bringing us to the 31st day of the 70 days of fasting and prayers. I have no doubt that every one participating is being empowered and strengthened for a victorious living in all areas of life this year 2025. I pray for grace for everyone to stay on till the end of the fasting in Jesus name. Amen.
Today, let us consider two important covenant commitment every husbandman has and to whom.
Husbands, love your wives even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for it. That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. That he might present it to himself, a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle or any such thing but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church (Eph.5:25-29)
The above Scripture tells us that the first covenant commitment the husbandman has is towards his wife. And that commitment is to love his wife as Christ has loved the church. This requires the husbandman to love his wife sacrificially and unconditionally (1Cor.13:4-8)
The second commitment of the husbandman is found in Ephesians chapter 6 and verse 4.
And ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath but bring them up in the way and admonition of the Lord (Eph.6:4)
The word of God commands the husbandman to train and nurture his children in the way and admonition of the Lord. This requires the husbandman to lead his children after the pattern of the principles of the word of God and not after the pattern of the world (1Tim.3:3-7). So it is your covenant responsibility to train, mentor, guard, guide and nurture your children. You are your children’s primary and principal model.
As the good and godly husbandman, as you love your wife as Christ has loved the church and train your children in the way and admonition of the Lord, you become the reflection of Jesus Christ to them. You also enjoy the blessings of doing the perfect will of God as the man, husband and father (Deut.28:1, 2Tim.2:16).

- Father, in the Name of Jesus, render useless, every negative medical report over my life and family

I take delight in obeying all the laws of the husbandman and I receive help from God to keep doing all that the law commands me to do because I want to become the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.
