FORCE OF CHANGE: DAY 45

UNDERSTANDING THE BLESSEDNESS OF PRAYERS

Bible Texts: Lk.18:1, Matt.15:32, Lk.21:27, Jos.21:45, Gal.4:19, Eph.1:18, Jn.5:39, Jn.8:32, Jn.3:1-5, Heb.11:1-3, Matt.11:28, Is.1:18, Is.45:2

Let’s begin today’s teaching by laying some biblical truths about prayers, with the hope that you will appreciate that what water is to fish is what prayer is to you. As the good and godly husbandman, prayer is an indispensable requirement and the foundation of your victory over the works of the devil that is trying to manifest themselves in any area of your life, your relationships, health, academics, finances and many more.

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, THAT MEN OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY and not to faint (Lk.18:1)

Jesus said, “that men ought always to pray”. This means prayer is the lifestyle of the husbandman.

Now, what is prayer?

Prayer is sharing fellowship, communion or communication between you and God, Your heavenly Father through Jesus Christ.

Come and let us reason together… (Is.1:18)

Prayer is also spiritual seed. When you pray, you are actually sowing seeds for the now and into the future to reshape the destinies and circumstances of your life as the man, husband and father (Jer.33:3, Matt.6:5-7).

Prayer is also the vehicle you use to carry all your challenges to God, through Jesus Christ.

Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give thee rest (Matt.11:28)

What then happens when I become the husbandman who prays as a lifestyle?

Firstly, you enjoy sweet fellowship with God through Jesus Christ. Secondly, you receive power to prevail over the circumstances of life. Thirdly, you become a person of exploits that will bring glory and praise to Jesus Christ. Fourthly, you receive power to realign your life and that of your wife and children to conform to the image and likeness of Jesus Christ.

But for you to enjoy the blessedness of communion with God through Jesus Christ, you must first and very importantly have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by giving your life to Him (Jn.3:2-5, 2Cor.5:17). You must also give attention to seeking, searching, studying and meditating on the word of God (Jn.5:39, Jn.8:32, 2Tim.2:15). You must furthermore walk by faith and not by sight by doing all that God commands through His word (Deut.28:1, Heb.11:1-2).

Prayer is your lifeline for a victorious life as the husbandman. Keep an uninterrupted communication with God through Jesus Christ because that is what empowers you to become the good and godly husbandman.
