FORCE OF CHANGE: DAY 68

Spread the love

ARE YOU SERVING OR YOU ARE BEING SERVED?

Bible Texts: Lk.22:26-27, Gen.2:14-16, Jn.10:14, Is.40:11, Heb.13:20, Rom.9:16, Ecc.9:11, Eph.5:25-29, Eph.6:4, 1Tim.5:8, Deut.6:7, 1Pet.3:7, Gal.4:19, Gen.18:19, 2Tim.2:15, Hos.4:6

As the husbandman, one of the Spirit of Jesus Christ you must pray for and be endued with during the ongoing 70 days of fasting and prayers and beyond is the spirit of servanthood. The spirit of servanthood empowers you to serve the best interest of others with joy and gladness of heart.

Let us consider the words of Jesus Christ, the only perfect example of the good and godly husbandman, in Luke Gospel chapter 22.

But ye shall not be so, but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger, and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. For who is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? Is not he that sitteth at meat? But I am among you as HE THAT SERVETH (Lk.22:26-27)

Jesus Christ said that He is among them that served, even though He was and still remains the greatest. And if you are looking unto Jesus Christ so that you can be like Him in truth and spirit, are you serving or you are being served?

As the husbandman, God has called you to service. God calls you to serve the best interests of your wife and children. God wants you to minister to their spiritual, physical, emotional, mental, material and social needs (Eph.5:25-29, Eph.6:4, 1Tim.5:8, Deut.6:7, 1Pet.3:7, Gal.4:19, Gen.18:19). God wants you to be a faithful servant because that is your true ministry as the ambassador of Jesus Christ, the Chief Servant.

You must remember that you are not among your wife and children as the head to live a selfish life or to manipulate, to control, to abuse or to blackmail them. You are in their lives as the good shepherd (Jn.10:1-2). Serving the best interest of your wife and children even when they do not deserve it is your pathway to greatness, honour and glory. Jesus says so. For who is greater is he that serveth the people.

Therefore, be a worthy servant to your wife and children, regardless of your status. Serve them with joy and in truth, bringing glory and praise to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Glory to Jesus Christ in the highest!
