The subject of faith is an important truth every husbandman must know and walk in because it is the greatest weapon that unlocks the power that gives victory over the challenges of life. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that you will walk by faith in Jesus Christ for a victorious life. Amen.
While we look not at the things which are seen but at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal but the things which are not seen are eternal (2Cor.4:18)
The Scripture says that we look not at the things which are seen but the things which are not seen. This means you and I must believe and act according to what God has said in His word. We don’t have to see it before we act. We simple trust what God has said and do it. It is faith in God by our action and trusting Him with unshakable believe.
For faith is the substance of hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Heb.11:1)
If you and I must triumph in our journey unto perfection as godly husbandmen, then faith is a necessity for us. The circumstances around us can be frustrating. The disrespect and disloyal attitude, the bitterness, anger, hatred, obstacles, barriers and hurt can depress any husbandman. But if you walk in the realm of faith in Jesus Christ, you will overcome and stay victorious as the good and godly man, husband and father.
But why do I need walk by faith in Jesus Christ and trust Him as the good and godly husbandman?
Firstly, faith is a weapon of warfare.
For the weapon of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of every stronghold (2Cor.10:4)
You don’t fight the forces threatening to destroy your harmonious relationship with your wife and children by the arm of flesh. You fight them by the instrument of faith drawn from the living word of God.
Secondly, faith gives you access to the presence of God and fullness of His power.
He that must come to God must first believe…(Heb.11:6)
You don’t come to God doubting but in faith because you must believe that God is able to do what He says in His word concerning those challenges you may having in any aspect of your life as the man, husband and father. There is no challenge you may be having that the power of God cannot dissolve. There is no circumstance or pressure of life that cannot be defeated. What you need is to engage the weapon of faith.
Thirdly, faith empowers you for unending victories (Heb.11:33, Joel 3:10, Job 22:29).
But how do I develop my faith and live by it?
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of doubt, fear and discouragement.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the spirit of faith.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to walk by faith and not by sight as I lead.
FAITH CONFESSION
I am baptized with the spirit of faith, and I walk by faith and not by sight in all that I do and I over the circumstances and challenges of life because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
