THE PROPHETIC POWER OF THE HUSBANDMAN

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Rom.4:17, Gen.2:21-22, Gen.3:20, Pro. 18:21, Matt.12:37, Gen.2:23, Eph.6:4, Eph.5:25-29, 1Cor.13:4-9, Rom.5:5, 1Tim.3:2, Ps.127:3

Today, I want to show you the authority God has given to you that you must exercise as you lead yourself, your wife and children. It is the prophetic office-declaring the counsel of God over your life and the lives of your wife and children.

And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept and he took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh instead thereof. And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman and brought her unto the man. And Adam (husband) called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living (Gen.2:21-22, Gen3:20)

From the above scripture, the husbandman, Adam, called the woman God brought to him Eve. At other times, he named all the animals God brought to him and whatever names he called them that is what they are. That is how powerful your declarations are.

The Scriptures say that life and death are in the power of the tongue. God’s word also says that open thou thy mouth and I shall fill it. You must understand that the words you speak towards your life and the lives of your wife and children are powerful. If you call them derogatory names such as stupid, a never-do-well, failure, animal, they will behave as such to you. If you call them great, good and godly, they will behave in the same manner to you. As the good and godly shepherd, you must understand that there is an irrevocable power in your tongue. So be careful what you call them especially when you are upset with them.

Therefore, I encourage you to redirect your talk to speak words of peace, honour, respect, grace, motivation, positive affirmation, encouragement and faith. I want you to desist from speaking negative words toward them, even when you are unhappy with their behaviour. Just change your language from negative to positive. Let the love of Christ and His word fill your heart and from the deposit of God’s words speak graciously towards your wife and children.

Choose to speak good words to your wife and children and see how your word will transform their lives unto beauty, riches, honour, glory, good and godliness.

Hallelujah!

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

•           Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for speaking ungraceful words to my life, wife and children.

•           Father, in the Name of Jesus, fill me with the love of Christ and empower my tongue to speak right words to them.

•           Father, in the Name of Jesus, make the graceful words of my mouth be forceful in their lives.

FAITH CONFESSION

I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that my wife and children are gifts from God and they are fearfully and wonderfully made. I speak words of grace and honour to them because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
