LIVE AN ORDERLY LIFE

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Gen.1:1-3, 1Cor.11:30-34, 2Cor.7:1, Col.1:19, Heb.11:3, Eph.5:25, Eph.6:4, Gen.17:1, Jos.24:15, 1Tim.3:1-4, Eph.2:2, Mk.9:29

I welcome you to a brand new day and I am confident that the Lord shall bless you richly in Jesus name. Amen.

Today I want to share with you one of the secrets to living the good and godly life as the husbandman. It is orderliness. From the beginning of creation in Genesis chapter 1, the first thing God did was to create order in the course of creating all other things because the earth was without form and it was void and everything appeared disorderly (Gen.1:1-3). The perfect will of God for you is to live an orderly life. God wants you to put life in order.

Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another. And if any man hunger, let him eat at home, that ye come not together unto condemnation. AND THE REST WILL I SET IN ORDER when I come (1Cor.11:30-33)

As the husbandman, order is a necessary target you must set for your life and in your family government. This is because where there is no order, there will be chaos (Gen.1:1). And where there is chaos, there will be no progress. You must also appreciate that your position as the spiritual leader, a kingdom administrator, a governor, king and lord empowers you to be orderly in everything you do (Eph.5:25, Jos.24:15, Eph.6:4, 1Tim.3:2-4).

It is disorderly for you to disobey the instructions of Scriptures for you as the man, husband and father. It is not orderly when you live a life of sin. It is not orderly when you abuse your body either through debased sexual behaviours, sexual immorality, drug abuse, uncontrolled and unhealthy eating habits (Gal.5:22-23). Living an orderly life means that you are doing the perfect will of God as the man, husband and father in all things and at all times. Hallelujah!

But how do I set my life in order?

Having therefore these promises, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God (2Cor.7:1)

The first step is that you must cleanse your thoughts from every form of filthiness by the word of God and keep your body from engaging in sinful act. Secondly, you must walk worthy of the Lord in all you think, do and say using the Bible as your guide (Jn.5:39, Col.1:19, 2Tim.2:15). Thirdly, you must engage the weapons of praise, prayer and fasting to repel anything form of distraction and resistance to living an orderly life (Mk.9:29, Eph.2:2, Is.58:8). And finally, you must walk by faith, trusting that God rewards those who walk uprightly (Heb.11:1-6, 33).

Therefore, put your life in order because it is the perfect will of God for you and the pathway to a life of righteousness, peace and joy.

Praise be unto Jesus Christ.
