Study to show thyself approved as a workman who is not ashamed but rightly dividing the word of truth (2Tim.2:15)
The true definition of the husbandman is leadership. There is a relationship between leadership and authority. And what strengthens the relationship is the knowledge of who you are, what you are ordained to do, and how you are to live. As the good and godly husbandman, you are a leader. And as a leader, you must sharpen your leadership skills through the knowledge of God.
The word of God in 2Timothy chapter 2 and verse 15 admonishes you to strengthen your influence as the husbandman through the continuous study both of the word of God and other anointed materials. This is because the more you learn from the word of God, the more you know and the more you know, the more the spirit of the word dwells inside you. And when you act on what you know you become a good and godly authority and influence as the man, husband and father (Pro.4:20-22, Ezk.2:2, Jn.5:39, Jn.8:32-33),
But for you to maximize the influence and authority which comes from studying the word of God you must first have a personal relationship with the Person of Jesus Christ by accepting Him into your life as your Lord and Saviour (Jn.3:3-6, 2Cor.5:17). You must also delight in the word of God and give attention to studying the Bible and meditating on it day and night, as a way of life (Jn.8:32, Jos.1:6-8, Ps.1:1-3). You must daily crave to want to know more about Jesus Christ and what He represents as the good and godly husbandman (Eph.5:25-26, Philp.3:10). You must invest your time and money to buy and read books on various aspects of endeavours that will help grow in the knowledge of the truth of God’s word. There are anointed and healthy books written by godly writers on areas such sports, health, food, nutrition, sexuality, finances and much more.
Keep learning, keep unlearning, keep re-learning and keep doing. It is your access to becoming the good and godly leader.
