The proof of your growth, development, and success as the good and godly husbandman is the test of your faith in believing and doing all God commands you to do as the man, husband, and father. Your faith in God will be tested. Hence, whatever the challenges you may be going through as the man, husband and father is a trial of your faith.
Wherein ye greatly rejoice though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations. That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen, ye love, in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls (1Pet.1:7-9)
The Bible says that the challenges confronting you today, whether in your relationship with your wife and children, or with your spiritual growth and development, or with your finances and health or godly character development, is for a season and it is the trial of your faith. And assuredly, you will overcome if you do not give up on God and His word that gives victory.
Remember that you lead your life, wife and children by faith in God and His word. It is by faith in God that you are able to love your wife and children even when you think they do not deserve to be loved. It is by faith in the word of God that you work diligently to provide for them even if it means denying yourself of your comfort and convenience. It is by faith in God that you walk in humility of heart towards them, and it is by faith in God that you forgive them and forget about the offences they may committed. This means that you cannot prevail by your strength but by faith in God and His word through obedience (Rom.4:17).
But how do I pass the test of faith as the man, husband and father?
If thy eyes be single, thy whole body will be full of light (Matt.6:22)
You must stay focused on the goals of your calling as provided for in the word of God. God wants you to be a blessing to your wife, children and in the marketplace (Gen.12:2, Gen.18:19). He wants you to love your wife as Christ has loved the Church and nurture your children in the way and admonition of the Lord and be a light to the world (Eph.5:25-29, 1Tim.3:4, Col.3:19, Eph.6:4, Deut.6:7-8, Matt.5:14-16).You must keep these truth of Scriptures continually in front of you always, regardless of the circumstances or challenges (Jer.1:10-12, Dan.1:8).
With the heart man believeth and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Rom.10:10)
You must also keep confessing the promises of God, declaring His counsel and praying the revealed word in hope (Rom.5:5, Lk.18:1, Mk.9:29).
Therefore, don’t give up on God and His word.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me by Your Spirit to see challenges as the trial of my faith.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to remain steadfast in Your promises and help me to focus on Your vision for my life as the good and godly man, husband and father.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me more than a conqueror in all life’s tests.
FAITH CONFESSION
The trial of my faith is but for a moment and I remain steadfast on the promises of God and I focus my eyes on the glorious destinies that God has prepared for me as the man, husband and father because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
