ARISE FROM YOUR SLUMBER AND BE WATCHFUL (2)

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Mk.13:36-37, Lk.18:1, Am.6:1, Jn.10:1-3, Gal.4:19, Eph.5:16, Matt.26:41, Jn.14:26, Mk.9:29, Hab.2:1, Pro.20:12, Matt.13:16, Philp.4:8

Lest coming suddenly he finds you sleeping. AND WHAT I SAY UNTO YOU I SAY TO ALL, WATCH (Mk.13:36-37)

Yesterday, the Scripture calls on every husbandman to take his spiritual life very seriously because the times we are in evil and there deceptions everywhere. More importantly, staying spiritually awake is the key to living a triumphant life over the works of satan, sin and the world. Jesus Christ wants you to awake unto the study of the word of God that is the Bible, walk with Person of the Holy Spirit for deeper revelation, engage the forces of prayers and fastings, and exercise the force of faith and put on the breastplate of righteousness.

But how do I watch in all watchfulness?

Firstly and most importantly, you must have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ by acknowledging your sins, confess them, repent of them and accept the Person of Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and personal saviour (Jn.3:3-8, 2Cor.5:17). You must also give attention to the study of the word of God, the Bible, and ask the Person of the Holy Spirit to help your understanding (Ezk.2:2, Jn.14:26, 2Tim.2:15). Each time you read and meditate on the word, with the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit, He guides you and empowers you to learn new things and gain fresh revelation that will help you to know the perfect will of God for your life as the man, husband and father, which will ultimately make you to become the good and godly husbandman. You must also watch by praying for yourself and praying for others including your wife and children so that you and them do not fall into temptation but remain in love with the things that please God (Matt.13:16, Matt.26:41, Gal.4:19).

Hear this truth, dear husbandman. You cannot afford to be careless in your journey to becoming the good and godly husbandman (Jn.10:10, Am.6:1). You have one life to live and you must be intentional about your spiritual walk and works and watch with all watchfulness so that you can be the good and godly man, husband and father.

Today, Jesus Christ is calling you to arise and watch. Again, watch!

Hallelujah!
