MAKE EVERYDAY WORTHY FOR JESUS CHRIST

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Rom.13:11-14, Matt.5:14-16, Acts 1:1. Jn.3:5-7, 2Cor.5:17, Rom.6:1, Mk.9:29, Ps.1:1-3, Jn.5:39, 2Tim.2:15, Gal.4:19, Philp.2:13, Philp.4:8

And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lust (Roms.13:11-14)

The word of God in Romans chapter 13, verses 11 through 14, shows how we can continually watch over our lives as husbandmen, so that we do not get carried away with the works of darkness. Very importantly, the Scripture admonishes you and I to awake out of our spiritual slumber and put on the armor of light.

Therefore, to make each day of our lives to bring glory to God, our wife and children as men, husbands and fathers, we must continue to make decisive commitment to depart from our old life of unrighteousness and irresponsibility and start taking spiritual responsibility to obey all of God’s commandments. You and I must cast off the works of darkness which are drunkenness, lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, pride of life, strife, envy and all forms of ungodliness.

Each day of our lives, we must adorn the Lord Jesus Christ, the same way you wear your dress. You and I must keep wearing Jesus Christ in our thoughts, our conduct, actions, responses and reactions. What we say and do must show that we are indeed in Christ (2Cor.5:17).

In order to make this spiritual turnaround possible, you must have a personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ by confessing your sins and inviting Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and personal Saviour (Jn.3:5-7, 2Cor.5:17). You must also get a personal bible for yourself and dedicate your time to studying and meditating on the words from the Bible (Ps.1:1-3, 2Tim.2:15, Jn.5:39). Then, you must give yourself to prayers and fasting so that you can be empowered to do exactly what the word of God commands (Acts 1:1, Mk.9:29, Gal.4:19, Philp.2:13).

Today matters to God. It matters to you. It matters to your wife and children. Make today and each day of your life count positively for Jesus Christ, wife and children because that is what makes you the good and godly husbandman.

Hallelujah!
