As the husbandman, you must understand that life is a battlefield, and your journey to becoming the good and godly husbandman comes with its challenges. Satan, sin, and the world will contend with your desire and pursuit to live the good and godly life as the man, husband, and father. So, your real enemies are not your wife or children. Whatever you see happening or coming from your wife and children that appears as if they are intended to hurt you is instigated by an invisible force, and that is what you must deal with. Remember the encounter of Jesus Christ with Peter (Matt . 16:23).
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph.6:12)
You are not wrestling against flesh and blood but against invincible forces and powers. Whatever you notice about your wife and children that is ugly and ungodly is being instigated by these unseen forces from the devil.
Look at this for a moment.
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world according to the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience (Eph.2:2)
There is a spirit that works disobedience in the lives of people. It is called the power of the air which is controlled by satan, sin and the world. These ungodly forces are responsible for the disobedient and ungodly attitude of your wife and children. That is the force you must contend with. That is your real enemy. God wants you to wrestle against those satanic forces and not your wife and children. God wants you to know exactly who the real enemy is.
But how do I wrestle and overcome these forces of satan, sin and the world influencing this misbehavior, disobedience and ungodliness in my life and in the lives of my wife and children?
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to deal with the spiritual forces of satan, sin and the world.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, open my eyes to see the strongholds of the enemy and empower me to break it.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to live the supernatural and victorious life.
FAITH CONFESSION
I exercise my authority in God over the influences of satan, sin and the world and enthrone the perfect will of God for my life to fulfill my mandate as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
