I will look up to the hill, from where cometh my help. For my help cometh from the Lord who made the heaven and the earth (Ps.121:1)
Today’s message is to stir hope and faith in the life of the husbandman to remember now and always that there is Someone to call when the challenges of life seem overwhelming. Additionally, it is to help the husbandman understand that there is help available from God through Jesus Christ. Man may fail, but God will never fail. The Almighty God is your Father. He loves you.
Now, put a call to God through Jesus Christ.
After this manner therefore pray ye. Our Father which art in heaven……….(Matt.6:9)
As the husbandman, who do you call first when you have challenges in your life and with your wife and children? Is it your heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ or your parents, friends or pastors? The perfect will of God for you is to call on Him, first, through His Son, Jesus Christ because He has the answers to all your challenges (Matt.7:7-8, Jer.33:3).
There is nothing wrong with receiving counsel from human vessels, especially when they are ordained of God. But you must understand that who you call first determines how quickly you receive help. And Jesus Christ never fails. He is not an alternative. He is the way, the truth and the life. He is the real deal. He is your help line in times of emergency (Matt.11:23-28).
But how do I put a call to Jesus Christ?
Come and let us reason together….(Is.1:18-20)
You put a call to God through Jesus Christ by praying to Him. When you come to God in prayers, you are expressing your submission of your weakness, fears and doubts to Him in exchange for His strength, peace, faith and courage. This is because God always shows up over the challenges of life when we call on Him.
Therefore as the good and godly husbandman, your must continue to call on Jesus Christ notwithstanding how challenging the issues may be (Lk.18:1). You must continue to develop a healthy relationship with God and His word through Jesus Christ and the Person of the Holy Spirit. This is because the more you know God and His Word, the easier it is for you to put your first call to Him when faced with crises.
Call Jesus Christ, first because He is the way, the truth and the life.

Spiritual Exercise
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to give You first place in my life through Your Son, Jesus Christ.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to call You first and always as I lead my life, wife and children.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, please hear me when I call and help me to always remember to call You first in times of trouble.
Faith Confession
I am dialing God’s emergency lines first and always as the husbandman because He has the answer to make me overcome the challenges as the good and godly man, husband and father, in Jesus name. Amen.
