Bible Texts: 2Tim.2:14-15, Pro.4:18, Jn.8:32-33, Rom.8:1, Eph.5:25-29, 1Pet.3:7-9, Matt.19:5, Rom.12:1-3, Eph.5:25, 1Cor.13:4-7, Rom.5:5, Philp.4:8, Eph.6:4, 1Pet.5:8
Praise God! Yesterday, we established from Scriptures that the perfect will of God for the husbandman is to be good and godly, and be consistent in godly character. I pray, in the name of Jesus Christ, that the grace to remain consistent in godly character will be poured upon you. Amen.
One of the blessings you enjoy as you walk in godliness is authority and power.
As the husbandman, God wants you to walk in authority and power over satan, sin, and the world. This is because there are many adversaries working day and night to ensure that you do not live the life God wants you to live as the good and godly man, husband, and father.
But how do I walk in divine authority?
For you to keep walking in divine authority, you must keep increasing in the knowledge of God for your life as the man, husband and father, by studying, meditating on it and acting on the word of God on a continuous basis through the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit (Jn.14:26, Jn.16:13).
Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about works. It is of no value and only ruins those who listen. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed but who correctly handles the word of truth (2Tim.2:14-15) NIV
The Scriptures in 2Timothy chapter 2 and verses 14 to 15 began by saying, keep reminding God’s people of these things. If you have ever worked with a blunt knife, scissors, or hoe, you would understand the importance of constantly sharpening yourself by the word of God. If these objects are not sharpened regularly, they become blunt and their use becomes ineffective. So, it is with every husbandman who does not keep reminding himself constantly by the word of God. He will lose divine authority and power.
And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free (Jn.8:32-33)
The more you know the word of God for your life and you keep it in your heart and commit to doing it, and doing the word, the stronger and more fruitful you will be as the good and godly husbandman, and the more divine authority you exercise.
Therefore, keep sharpening your saw of authority through the knowledge of the word of God. It confers on you divine authority, power, and wisdom that empowers you to function in the fullness of God’s divine plans for your life as the good and godly man, husband, and father-the husbandman.
Hallelujah!
