THEY BECOME TO YOU WHAT YOU CALL THEM

There is an outcry out there. Many husbandmen are experiencing resistance from their wife and children. They are losing the capacity to function as good and godly men, husbands, and fathers because they are not operating in God’s wisdom. And that wisdom key that is missing is the power of good and godly declaration and confession.

Now, let us look into the Word of God.

And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept and he took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh instead thereof. And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman and brought her unto the man. And Adam (husband) called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living (Gen.2:21-23)

The Scripture tells us that when God made Eve, the bride, He brought her to Adam, the groom or husbandman. Adam called her Eve, just the same way he named other animals and plants that God created. And whatever name Adam called them, that is what they became, including his bride, Eve.

This is the wisdom of God for you from the Scripture in Genesis chapter 2 and verses 21 to 23. Your wife and children become to you what you call them. If you call your wife and children derogatory names such as stupid, a never-do-well, failure, animal, foolish, useless, or good-for-nothing humans, they will become so to you. If you call them success, wise, fruitful, supportive, strong, useful, and positively affirm them, they also become so to you.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof (Pro.18:21)

The power of life and death is in your tongue, and you will always eat the fruits of what you say. As the good and godly shepherd, you must understand that there is an irrevocable power in your tongue. If you call your wife or children devils, you will see the manifestation of devilish responses and actions from them. If you call them good and godly, they will manifest the same to you. This is why God wants you to speak, declare, and confess graceful words to your wife and children, regardless of their offenses, misbehavior, or challenges.

The word of God is calling you to walk in the consciousness that there is power in the words you speak; hence, you must redirect your tongue to speak words of peace, honour, respect, grace, motivation, positive affirmation, encouragement, hope and faith to yourself, your wife and your children. God wants you to desist from speaking negative words to them, even when you are unhappy with their behaviour.

Therefore, call your wife and children what God calls them from His word, and you will experience joy in your life, and you will enjoy the fruits of peace, honour, faithfulness, respect, and encouragement from them.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

•           Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for speaking ungraceful words to my wife and children.

•           Father, in the Name of Jesus, fill me with the love of Christ and empower my tongue to speak right words to them.

•           Father, in the Name of Jesus, make the graceful words of my mouth forceful in their lives.

FAITH CONFESSION

I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that my wife and children are gifts from God and they are fearfully and wonderfully made. I speak words of grace and honour to them because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
