JESUS CHRIST HAS SET YOU FREE

Bible Texts: Gal.5:1, Rom.8:1, 2Cor.5:17, Jn.10:10, Ps.133:2, Jn.8:32, Rom.6:18, 1Pet.2:16, Acts 15:10, Eph.5:25, Rom.5:5, Eph.6:4, Col.3:16

One of the weapons satan uses against the husbandman when he returns to or considers returning to Jesus and growing in the knowledge of the word of God is guilt. Satan always wants the husbandman to live in regrets and quilts. He tries to remind the godly husbandman of his past mistakes and how unfit he is to be in love with Jesus Christ. But today, I want you to know that Jesus Christ has set you free.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage (Gal.5:1)

As the husbandman, God wants you to stand firm and hold onto the freedom Christ has procured for you through His death and resurrection. God doesn’t want you to be bound by your past mistakes, regardless of the sin, whether it was made by mistake or intentionally, because Christ has set you free. God doesn’t want you to live in regret; rather, He wants you to repent, make amends, and keep walking in the newness of life in Christ Jesus (2 Cor.5:17).

Now, for you to stand firm and fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has freed you, you must be conscious of your liberty in Jesus and keep reminding yourself of it (2Cor.5:17, Jn.3:3-7,16). You must continue studying the Word of God so that the Spirit and the words of Scripture can dominate your thoughts and your way of life (Ezk.2:2, Col.3:16). Finally, you must keep declaring by faith your newness of life in Christ (Rom.10:10).

Therefore, stand fast and firm in the perfect will of God for your life as the man, husband and father, and walk in the light of your liberty in Christ Jesus. Glory to Jesus Christ our Saviour.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for living in guilt and satanic bondage.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to walk in the freedom You have gotten for me through Jesus Christ.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to think, speak and walk in the truth of my liberty from Your word for me as the man, husband and father.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am no longer a slave to satan, sin and the world; I am the child of God, therefore, I am free from guilt and condemnation and I now live in the liberty in Christ Jesus because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
