Ye have heard that it hath been said, thou shalt love thy neighbor and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you. For if you love them which love you what reward have ye? Do not the publicans the same?…… Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matt.5:43-48)
The perfect will of God for the good and godly husbandman is for him to grow and be matured in things of God. God wants the husbandman to bear good and godly fruits.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith (faithfulness), meekness, temperance (Gal.5:22).
God wants you to be better each day in your thoughts, words, and actions. God wants you to experience growth and improvement in your spiritual, emotional, and physical life as the good and godly man, husband, and father. God wants you to grow out of your childish tendencies unto maturity (1Cor.13:11).
But how do I grow and become the mature, good, and godly husbandman?
You must have a personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ, and work out your salvation with fear and reverence (Jn.3:3-7, Acts.10:36). Salvation in Jesus Christ gives you access to the keys of the kingdom of God and unlocks for you the knowledge of the word of God that will help you grow.
You must give yourself to continuous study of the word of God. This is because the word of God is Spirit and it is life (Ps.1:1-3, Jn.6:63). When the Spirit of the word of God enters into your spirit man, it transforms your inner man and helps you bear the fruit of the Spirit in your thoughts, words, actions and responses just as Christ would (Ezk.2:2).
You must continue to engage the weapon of prayer and fasting so that the word of God can gain root in your heart and bear fruit in your life (Mk.9:29, Acts 1:1). Prayer of faith empowers you to become like the word of God says (Matt.6:9-10, Philp.2:13)
Ye have compassed this mountain long enough, turn you northward (Deut.2:3)
It is time for you to take responsibility for your spiritual growth and development. It is time to be intentional about your commitment to leave behind those childish attitudes and embrace spiritual maturity that will make you produce the fruits of the Spirit.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for disobeying Your instructions and refusing to grow up as the man, husband and father.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, give me boldness and courage to disassociate myself from all forms of ungodliness.
- Father, in the name of Jesus, empower me to exercise power and authority over the influences of satan, sin and the world and make me to bear the fruit of the Spirit.
FAITH CONFESSION
I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and I walk in this consciousness in my thought, action, communication, association and relationship, bearing the fruit of the Spirit because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
