The perfect will of God for the husbandman is for him to make each of his life count for Jesus Christ, by making good and godly decisions, speaking and acting according to the word of God.
Teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts to wisdom (Ps.90:12)
The Scripture talks about the importance of making each day of your life productive and profitable. It doesn’t matter what yesterday may have looked like, and it matters less how many times you have failed as the man, husband, and father; you can make today productive and better than yesterday. You can make the most of today and each day fruitful as the good and godly man, husband, and father. Therefore, today matters to you to make the necessary adjustments.
But how do I make each day productive and fruitful as the husbandman? How do I honour Jesus Christ with my thoughts, words, and actions?
You make your life count for Jesus by applying yourself to the word of God in all you do. The word of God provides the principles, instructions, and admonitions you require to be like Jesus Christ. When you submit your life to the word of God, it helps you lead your life as the good and godly man, husband, and father.
What are the actions I must engage in to keep making my life count for Jesus?
Firstly, you must awake out of your spiritual slumber.
It is high time to awake out of sleep (Rom.13:11a)
You must take a decisive commitment to depart from your old life of unrighteousness and irresponsibility and start taking spiritual responsibility to obey all that God commands from His word for you as the husbandman.
Secondly, you must always adorn the Lord Jesus Christ, the same way you wear your dress.
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom.13:14b)
You must start today by wearing Jesus Christ in your thoughts, your conduct, actions, responses, and reactions. What you say and do must show that you are indeed a Christ and in Christ (Matt.5:14-16, 2Cor.5:17).
Thirdly, you must continually fellowship with God through Jesus Christ in word study, prayers, and fellowship with other brethren so that you can be empowered to do exactly what the word of God commands (Acts 1:1, Mk.9:29, Philp.2:13, Gal.4:19).
Today matters to you and God. Make your life count for Jesus Christ. It is profitable.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for my past failures, mistakes and errors.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, guide me through Your word as I study, watch and pray.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to make quality decisions that will please You each day of my life as the man, husband and father.
FAITH CONFESSION
Today is a new day for me and I am taking practical steps to obey all that God commands me to do because that is the pathway to becoming the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.
