The perfect will of God for the husbandman is to be like Jesus Christ. God wants the husbandman to conduct himself in the way and admonition of the Lord Jesus Christ. God wants him to live by the truth of the word of God. This is the only way the husbandman can become the good and godly man, husband, and father at the same time. And the way God wants the husbandman to accomplish this task is to be transformed by the word of God and not to be conformed to the principles and rudiments of this world.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not CONFORMED to this world, but be ye TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God (Rom.12:1-2)
As the husbandman, God wants you to be different from the world. God doesn’t want you to blend with the world; rather, He wants you to be different because you are the light of the world (Matt.5:14-16). You are a city that is set upon a hill that cannot be hidden. Your stand for righteousness, truth, and holiness must never be compromised because you want to be socially acceptable. I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Let the world see the very life of Jesus Christ through your utterances, conduct, actions, and responses.
How do I refuse to conform to this world while being transformed as a husbandman?
You must be filled with the knowledge of the truth of the word of God.
Study to show thyself approved as a workman who is not ashamed but rightly dividing the word of truth (2Tim.2:15).
You must pant after and diligently study the word of God and think on the word of God. This is because the more you give attention to the word of God and think about what God says in His word, the more the Spirit of the word of God dominates your spirit, giving you dominion over the dictates and desires of the flesh (Ps. 119:11, Ezk.2:2).
You must continually engage the power of prayer and fasting so that you can be built up in boldness to refuse the invitation to compromise on the word of God or conform to this world.
My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not (Pro.1:10)
It takes more than a bold face to refuse sin and its attraction. You need the power of the Holy Ghost to say no to sin or the offers of the world which compromise your stand in the word of God (Mk.9:29, Philp.2:13).
God wants you to prove what is His good and acceptable will in the marketplace because that is how you become the good and godly husbandman (Rom.12:2b).

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of sin and distractions.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to obey all Your commandments.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, transform me by the power of Your word and help me to pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness at home and in the marketplace.
FAITH CONFESSION
I do not conform to this world, but I walk in holiness, righteousness, and truth because I am a new man in Christ who has been transformed by the word, and that is what makes the good godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
