YOU GIVE FROM YOUR TREASURE. WHAT HAVE YOU? (2)

A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him (Matt.12:35)

The Word of God says that it is what is on the inside that manifests on the outside. If you have stored good in your heart, you will manifest good. If you have stored evil in your heart, you will definitely manifest evil deeds. This is why the Word of God says that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

But how do I store up good and godly seeds in my heart so that I can bring out good and godly fruits?

Firstly, you must repent of your sins and invite Jesus Christ to come into your life (please see the prayer of salvation below and pray it in faith). Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman, says that ye must be born again.

If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new (2Cor.5:17)

Being born again by water and the Spirit is the new life in Christ God wants you to have.

Secondly, you must delight in the Word of God.

This book of the Law shall not depart out your mouth, for thou shall meditate upon it day and night…..

The Word of God is seed. The more you study and meditate upon the word, the more the seed of the word of God is planted in your heart (Ezk.2:2). And because the Word of God you have stored in your heart is alive, you can bring forth good fruits that overcome evil, when you are provoked or tempted (Heb.4:12, Rom.12:21)

Thirdly, you must continue to engage the weapon of prayer and fasting to sustain the truth of Scriptures in your heart.

This kind goeth not forth, except by praying and fasting (Mk.9:29)

Prayer and fasting are not just to help you get your material needs from God; it is a mystery for supernatural empowerment. As you give yourself to the ministry of prayer and fasting, the word of God is empowered in your spirit man, enabling you to bring forth good fruits even in the midst of provocation and temptation (Eph.2:2).

Therefore, shake off the seeds of ungodliness from your life and start planting the seeds of goodness and godliness so that you can bring forth good things out of the treasure of your heart because that is what makes you the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for storing the seed of the works of the flesh in my heart.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus and by the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit, empower me to start storing the seeds of the fruit of the Spirit in my heart.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to keep bringing forth good and godly fruits.

FAITH CONFESSION

I store up good and godly seeds in the treasure of my heart and by the power of the Holy Spirit, I bring good and godly fruits because I am the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
