One of the greatest weapons available for the husbandman to successfully lead himself and his family as the good and godly man, husband, and father is understanding purpose. The ability to have the future in view in the present, which he derives from the word of God, is what keeps the husbandman on course on the journey to becoming a good and godly influence in his sheepfold.
Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying Jeremiah, WHAT SEEST THOU? And I said I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the Lord unto me, thou hast well seen for I will hasten my word to perform it. (Jer.1:11-12) KJV
Although God said that He knew him before he was conceived in his mother’s womb, He still wanted him to understand the power of vision. So God said this to Jeremiah, what seest thou?
In the same manner that God asked Jeremiah what can he see, is exactly what God is asking you today. What can you see?
Where there is no vision, the people perish (Pro.29:18-19)
As the good and godly husbandman, you can, by the power of vision, lead as the man, husband and father, regardless of the challenges that come with being a leader, in a way that pleases God. Having the pictures of Scriptures is what gives meaning and value to your existence as the good and godly husbandman.
You must understand that the source of your vision, which will make you lead as the good and godly husbandman, is from the Word of God. The Bible contains the vision God has for you as the good and godly man, husband and father. You must search the Bible, and as you search the Scripture, you will find amazing visions of God for your life, wife, children, and home.
So how powerful is the vision for my life as the husbandman?
The vision from God’s word allows you to see things not as they are but as God sees them. Secondly, the vision from the word of God allows you to act and remain steadfast in the pursuit of what is good and godly. Finally, the vision from God’s word brings you hope and joy.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower my inner eyes to see Your glorious plans from Your word for my as the man, husband and father.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to run with the vision from Your word for my life and family.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the spirit of faith and boldness and help me to see the fulfillment of Your glorious plans for my life and family
FAITH CONFESSION
I am filled with the vision of God for my life as the man, husband and father and I run with the vision with diligence and commitment, notwithstanding the challenges because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
