Did you know that you and I, as husbandmen have a head, even though we are the head of our family? Did you also know that if you and I, as heads of our family, want to lead successfully, we must first acknowledge Jesus Christ as the Lord over our own lives (Acts.10:36)? If you and I understand this truth, it will serve as a check on us and help us to put our lives under control.
Consider the Scripture in 1st Corinthians chapter 11 and verses 1 to 6, and note the pattern of hierarchy.
The HEAD OF CHRIST IS GOD and the HEAD OF THE MAN IS CHRIST and the HEAD OF THE WIFE IS THE HUSBAND (1Cor.11:1-6)
The Scriptures say that the head of Jesus Christ is God, and the head of the man is Jesus Christ. As the husbandman, you have a head. His name is Jesus Christ and you are responsible to Him by doing all that He commands you to do. Jesus Christ is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman and you must always recognize His Lordship over your life if you want your wife and children to acknowledge your headship over their own lives.
And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I COME TO THEE….(Jn.17:11-12)
See how Jesus Christ submitted wholly to the Lordship of God. He said, “I come to thee-God”. This is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, One with God, solemnly relating to God in the fashion of a son and father relationship. When you submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, you receive power from Him to create the godly influence that you want to see in your life and in the lives of your wife and children. You are also imparted with the Spirit of Christ that enables you to become Jesus Christ in your works and in your thoughts (Philp.2:5).
God wants you to enjoy your leadership as the good and godly husbandman. He wants you to lead your life and the lives of your wife and children in all goodness and godliness. God wants your wife and children to submit to you in all things. But you have a responsibility to learn to submit your own life, first, to Jesus Christ as your Lord in order to attract the same submission from your wife and children.
Therefore, whatever Jesus Christ tells you to do, just do it (Jn.2:5). He is the Lord over your life.

- Father, in the Name of Jesus, I surrender my will, emotions and my body to You.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, I give You my life, my soul and my thought as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, please let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You.
FAITH CONFESSION
I consciously and willing declare You, Jesus Christ, as the Lord over my life because that is the gateway for me to become the good and godly influence as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.

Now that you have read the devotional, it is very important for you to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Please, pray this prayer in faith.
Lord, Jesus, I come to you today, just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
