And he spake a parable unto them to this end, THAT MEN OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY and not to faint (Lk.18:1)
Let’s begin today’s teaching by laying some biblical truths about prayer. Prayer is to you what water is to fish. Prayer is an indispensable weapon of warfare for effective leadership. It is a weapon of victory for you as the man, husband and father, and in your relationships, in your health, in your academics, in your business, in your finances, and in every aspect of your life.
But what is prayer?
Prayer is a spiritual seed. When you pray, you are actually sowing seeds for the now and into the future to reshape the destinies and circumstances of your life as the man, husband and father.
Prayer is also communion or communication between you and God, Your heavenly Father (Is.1:18).
Prayer is engaging God through His Son, Jesus Christ, to share fellowship with Him.
Prayer is also the vehicle you use to carry all your challenges to God, through Jesus Christ.
God wants you to be blessed as the man, husband and father, and prayer is the platform that God has given to you to be empowered to achieve all these (Jn.15:5, Philp.2:13)
What then happens when I become the husbandman who prays as a lifestyle?
Firstly, you prevail over the circumstances of life. Secondly, you become a person of exploits that will bring glory and praise to Jesus Christ. Thirdly, you set and continue to reset your life and the lives of your wife and children on the path of victory, triumph, righteousness, peace an joy. But you must do these three things, first.
The first is that you must be born again and have a personal relationship with God through the Person of Jesus Christ (Jn.3:2-5, 2Cor.5:17). The second is that you must give attention to studying and meditating on the word of God for yourself daily (Ps.1:1-3, Jn.5:39, Jn.8:32). The third is that you must walk and act on the word of God in faith (Heb.11:1-2).
Prayer is your lifeline for a victorious life as the husbandman. Therefore, keep an uninterrupted communication with God through Jesus Christ because that is what empowers you to become the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me the Spirit of grace and supplication
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the Spirit of faith.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, teach me Your word and help me to pray aright.
FAITH CONFESSION
I give myself to prayer as a lifestyle because that is what empowers my life to live as the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.
