Bible Texts: Heb.12:2, Matt.5:14-16, 1Pet.2:1, Jn.5:39, Ps.119:105, 1Cor.16:9, Eph.5:14, Ps.119:89, Lk.18:1, Philp.3:10, Ps.1:1-3, Philp.3:13-14, Ezk.2:2, Lev.6:9
Did you know that the perfect will of God for you is to be transformed into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman? In all you think, do, or say, God wants your wife, your children, and the world to see the nature of Christ through you (Matt.5:14-16, Rom.12:2, Heb.12:2).
But how do I transform my life to be like Jesus Christ in my thoughts, words and actions?
As new born babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby…(1Pet.2:1b)
The word of God is what you need to be transformed into the image and likeness of Christ. The more you feed on the Word of God, the more the power of the gospel changes your thoughts, words, actions, and conduct because the word of God is powerful (Ezk.2:2, Jn.5:39, Heb.4:12). As you give attention to the Word of God, you become empowered to bear the fruit of the Spirit (Gal.5:22-24).
Now, why do I need to feed on the word of God to grow and be like Jesus Christ?
The word of God is the truth. It contains the principles that are enduring and unchanging.
Forever O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven (Ps.119:89).
The word of God provides direction that will lead you to act, conduct yourself and respond in ways that is pleasing to God as the man, husband and father.
The word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path (Ps.119:105).
The word of God has the power to change and transform.
For we all with an open face beholding as in a glass, the glory of the Lord are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord (2Cor.3:18).
The more you feed on the word by studying and thinking on it, the more you experience transformation in your spirit, soul and body. You can be like Jesus Christ by the power of the Word of God.
Hallelujah!
