Bible Texts: Gen.1:26-28, Philp.2:12-13, Mk.9:29, Acts 2:1-4, Rom.9:16, Jn.3:3-10, 1Sam.2:9, Ecc.9:11, Jn.15:5, Heb.13:21, Jn.10:18, Acts 4:33, Gal.4:19, Jer.33:3, Ps.23:1, Acts 1:1, Zech.4:6
Yesterday, the Word of God admonished every husbandman to study, meditate, and act on the Word of God if he wants to grow. Today, I want us to consider another spiritual responsibility that you must subscribe to. It is effectual fervent prayer. I have discovered that no husbandman can become the good and godly man, husband and father without the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, which comes from the place of prayer.
Wherefore, my beloved, as all of you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For IT IS GOD WHICH WORKETH IN YOU BOTH TO WILL AND TO DO OF HIS GOOD PLEASURE. Do all things without murmurings and disputings (Philippians 2:12-14)
From the Bible passage in Philippians 2:13, it is clear that God is the only person who can empower you to desire and do His good pleasure as a man, husband, and father. Only God can make you submit to Him in all things, and only He can make you obey Him in all things. Without the empowerment of God through the Person of the Holy Spirit, you will struggle to fulfill God’s plan for your life as the husbandman (Zech.4:6, Jn.15:5).
How do I receive the power to become?
You receive power to become by the weapon of prayer and fasting (Lev.6:9, Mk.9:29, Acts 2:1-4).
The prayer platform is the altar of empowerment (Jer.33:3). You must engage and activate your prayer life by fervently asking God for the empowerment to perform. Engaging the prayer weapon ensures the reality of God’s perfect will for your life.
The good and godly change and growth you desire in your life, as the husbandman, is possible, and it is a noble cause. Praying the word of God and praying in the Holy Ghost give you access to the power of God, which empowers you to do the perfect will of God for your life as the man, husband, and father.
Hallelujah!
