COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM!

Bible Texts: 2Cor.6:17-18, Ps.1:1, Matt.5:14-16, 1Jn.5:17, 1Cor.15:33-34, 1Cor.14:40, Rom.6:1, 1Cor.14:20, 1Cor.14:25. 1Cor.16:9, 1Cor.16:13

In continuation of the teaching on how the husbandman can become like Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman, today’s message is both an admonition and instruction to the husbandman and I pray, in the name of Jesus, that you will yield to the call of God for you.

Wherefore, come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord and touch not the unclean things and I will receive you. And I will be a Father unto you and ye shall be my sons and daughters saith the Lord Almighty (2Cor.6:17-18)

One of the most important forces that influences the husbandman is the association and relationship he keeps. The association either leads him to do what pleases the Lord Jesus Christ or makes him disobey the instructions of God. But the perfect will of God is for the husbandman to walk in obedience to the instructions from God for him as the man, husband, and father. This is why, one way you can be motivated and inspired to do the will of God is to come out of every ungodly relationship and association and be joined to good and godly relationships and associations (1Cor.15:33).

But why should I come out from among them that are ungodly?

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly nor standeth in the way of sinners nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful (Ps.1:1)

God wants you to come out from wrong relationships, associations and activities because it does not fit your personality as the blessed of God, who is an ambassador of Christ.

All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not unto death (1Jn.5:17)

God wants you to come out of wrong association so that you are not influenced to do those things that are against the perfect will of God for you. This includes greed and covetousness, lying, abuse of your body and the bodies of others, stealing, disobeying the laws of the land where you live, adultery, bitterness, unforgiveness, hate, malice, laziness, bad will towards others, and serving other gods.

God is calling on you and I to awake unto righteousness by choosing good and godly company.

Awake to righteousness and sin not, for some have not the knowledge of God, I speak this to your shame (1Cor.15:34)

Therefore, commit today to disassociate yourself from bad relationships and associations that take you away from God and His word. Take a firm stand to seek for good and godly relationships and associations that will help you to grow into becoming the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for keeping ungodly relationships and associations.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, give me boldness and courage to disassociate myself from all forms of ungodly relationships and associations.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to seek and pursue good and godly relationships and associations

FAITH CONFESSION

I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and I walk in this consciousness in my thought, action, communication, association and relationship because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.

Lord, Jesus, I come to you today, just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
