THINK ON THESE THINGS, ALWAYS

Bible Texts: Philp.4:6-8, Jn.15:5, Jos.1:6-8, 3Jn.1:2Ps.1:1-3, 2Tim.2:15, Dan.1:8, Ps.51:10, Matt.5:14-16, Rom.15:14, Rom.6:1, 2Cor.5:17

As the husbandman, what dominates your thoughts? What do you think about? Okay, in case you do not know what to think on, let us look into the Word of God to find out what God wants you think about.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are TRUE, whatever things are NOBLE, whatever things are JUST, whatever things are PURE, whatever things are LOVELY, whatever things are of GOOD REPORT, if there be anything virtue and if there is anything PRAISEWORTHY, MEDITATE on these things (Philp.4:8)

From the above Word of God, these are what God wants you to think on. God wants you to think on what is true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and of a good report. God wants these good and godly virtues to dominate your thoughts before you decide, because as a man thinks in his heart so is he.

As the godly husbandman, you are daily faced with decisions to make for your life, towards your relationship with your wife and children, in your finances, on your journeys and even in your relationships with others. God wants you to let the basis in Philippians chapter 4 and verse 8 to guide your thoughts, actions and decisions. This is because the things you think and meditate on will influence your decisions. If they are positive thoughts, they will lead to victory, peace, joy and success. If they are negative thoughts, they will also result in chaos, fighting, bitterness, unforgiveness, malice and so much unhappiness and tension.

Therefore, as the new month of November 2025 begins, I want to encourage you to resolve to test your actions and decisions against the instruction of Scriptures in Philippians chapter 4 and verse 8. Before you jump on that decision and action, ask yourself if it is true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. If it is from the view of the word of God and not as the world thinks, go ahead and act. But if it is not in line with the measurement of Scriptures in Philippians chapter 4 and verse 8, no matter what satan, sin, and the world think, do not give in to or act on it.

God has great plans for you. He wants you to represent Him profitably in your home and in the marketplace as the good and godly man, husband and father. God wants you to prosper as the husbandman. But you have a role to play and that is to always ask, were Jesus Christ to be in my shoes, what He will do. That is how you can make good and godly decisions as the good and godly husbandman and grow unto maturity.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to hold unto what is always right as the godly man, husband and father.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, strengthen my inner man to refuse to take wrong decision and actions against my wife and children and the society.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to have self-control over my will, emotions and thought.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and I have the mind of Christ to think and meditate on only what is true, pure, lovely, noble and of good report because that is what builds me up into becoming the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.

Lord, Jesus, I come to you today, just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
