As the husbandman, do you realize that you are a Christ in your home? But you may ask, how is that possible? The word of God says so.
HUSBANDS love thy wife AS CHRIST has loved the Church (Eph.5:25)
The word of God says that the husband is to love his wife the same way Jesus Christ loves His bride, the church. God wants you to model your love for your wife after the model of Christ’s love to His bride.
Now, to what extent did Jesus Christ love the church and what is His Mission?
The thief cometh not but to steal, and to kill and to destroy. I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly (Jn.10:10)
Jesus Christ loves His bride (church) abundantly. He cared for His bride and gave value to His bride. That is exactly what God wants you to do. God wants you to abundantly love your wife as Christ has loved the church, because that is what makes you the good and godly husbandman.
This is the extent of the love God wants you to abundantly give to your wife. God wants you to be kind, patient, protective, faithful, supportive and encouraging to your wife (1Cor.13:4-7, Philp.4:8). God wants you to add value to her life, ministry and assignment (Gal.4:19). God wants you to defend her from all forms of attacks (Jn.10:1-2). God wants you to lead her to her place of fulfillment and happiness (Ps.23:1). God wants you to pray for and with her (Gal.4:19, Col.3:19). God wants you to be her cheerleader.
As the good and godly husbandman, you are a blessing and not a burden to your wife your children. You are not a disaster waiting to happen but a channel of blessing to them (Gen.12:2-3). Therefore, you must take responsibility to give the abundant life to them, regardless of the circumstances, challenges or their weaknesses.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, fill me with the virtues of the good and godly husbandman.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to give value and meaning to my life and to my wife and children.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to serve the interest of my wife and children with delight and joy.
FAITH CONFESSION
I have the life of Christ in me and by the Spirit of Christ at work in my life, I give value and meaning to my life and the lives of my wife and children because that is what makes me the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name Amen.

Please, pray this prayer in faith.
Lord, Jesus, I come to you today, just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
