DAY 14 of FASTING AND PRAYER
Bible Texts: Mk.9:23, Jer.33:3, Lk.18:1, Gen.1:26-28, Philp.4:8, Heb.11:6, Gen.2:18-25, Jn.5:39, Gen.4:1, Jn.8:32, 1Thess.5:17
The place of praying effectively is the husbandman’s master key to remaining on course as the good and godly man, husband and father. This is why over the next few days, we shall be looking into the word of God to discover the incredible power of prayers towards empowering the husbandman to fulfill the perfect will of God as the man, husband and father.
Jesus Christ set the tone for the personality of the man in the trinity of the husbandman.
Jesus says that you ought to always pray.
Men ought to always pray and not faint….(Lk.18:1)
Praying for yourself as the man empowers you to have a genuine relationship and fellowship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. As the man, your priority on your prayer list is to pant after the Lord, to desire a holy and deeper fellowship with God, where you love Him with the whole of your heart, mind, soul and body. Just like the first man, Adam, in the Garden of Eden before the fall, God wants to commune with you. He wants you to have a personal relationship with Him (Jn.3:4-8, Jn.3:16-17).
But why is this prayer important to me as the man?
Praying for yourself as the man helps you to discover the plans and purposes of God for your life and empowers you to live a holy life which guarantees your place in heaven with Jesus Christ (Rev.3:20). Secondly, praying for yourself as the man empowers you to overcome the tendencies of the flesh (Matt.26:41). Thirdly, praying for yourself as the man empowers you to continue to think, act and do what is true, lovely, honest and of good report (Ps.1:1-3, Philp.4:8).
Therefore, search the Scriptures and pray for the empowerment of the Holy Ghost to rest upon you so that you can live a holy life, enjoy sweet fellowship with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit daily, a healthy life, a life of dominion over sin, and a productive life.
If you do not want to faint as the man, pray without ceasing (Lk.18:1).
Hallelujah!
