YOU HAVE A BETTER COVENANT IN CHRIST

DAY 42 of FASTING AND PRAYER

Bible Texts: Gal.3:13-14, 2Cor.5:17, Rev.5:9-12, Is.43:1, Rev.12:11, Rom.8:1, Is.60:1-2, Rom.12:2, Heb.12:4, Jn.3:7, Rom. 10:10,

Prophecy: A husband is reading this devotional today, and the Spirit of the Lord is saying to you, “You have a better covenant in Christ”. Whatever may have been said about you doesn’t hold any value because you are a new person in Christ. No curse has any power on you, your wife, your children, your family, your business, your career, your health and your finances.

But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When He was hung on the Cross, He took upon Himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree (Gal.3:13)

As the husbandman and the head of your family, you may have noticed in your family lineage some negative occurrences that have repeated themselves from generation to generation. It may be in areas of finances, health, marriage, childbearing, education, job, and so much more, and you are afraid that you, your wife, and children may suffer the same satanic repetition of evil occurrence.

Fear not! I want to assure you that you have nothing to fear because you have a better covenant in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ has rescued you, your wife, and your children from the curse of the law. Jesus Christ died for you and I so that we can be free from the consequences of the negative actions or inactions of our forefathers. The Scripture offers this assurance to you from 2 Corinthians 5:17.

If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new (2Cor.5:17)

You are a new creature. You have a new lineage in Christ. You have a new family in Christ. You can recreate a new and better way for your life and the lives of your wife and children in every aspect.

But for you to live in this realm of newness of life where you and your wife and children are exempted from generational curses, you must be born again (Jn.3:7). This demands that you must surrender your life to Jesus, the Person who destroys curses. And if by chance, you have backslidden, you can rededicate your life to Jesus Christ. He is the God of several chances.

Secondly, you must live in the consciousness of your new creation status (Rom.12:2, Rom.10:10). You must think of the newness of life. You must think of freedom. You must think exemption. You must confess your newness in Christ. You must confess your liberty. You must act and behave with the freedom and newness of life in Jesus. This is because as a man thinks in his heart so is he (Pro.23:7).

Always remember the truth from God’s word. It doesn’t take more than one person to reverse the curses and bring blessings. You are God’s agent for a positive turnaround (Gen.12:1-3).

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to be conscious of who I am in Christ Jesus.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, let the reality of Your blessing be evident in my life and in my family.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, make my new creation status a reality and help me to walk in it.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am seated with Jesus Christ, far above the curses of life, because that is where I belong and I bring my wife and children into that realm of blessings because I am the good and godly husbandman in Jesus Name. Amen.

Now that you have read the devotional, it is very important for you to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Please, pray this prayer in faith.

Lord, Jesus, I come to you today, just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
