DAY 59 of FASTING AND PRAYER
Bible Texts: Pro.4:18, Gen.17:1-3, Ecc.7:9, Gen.2:15-16, Jn.3:1-8, 1Cor.13:10-11, Gal.4:19, 2Cor.5:17, Rom.6:1, Rom.8:1, Pro.4:20-24, Ezk.2:2
One of the greatest attributes of the good and godly husbandman is when he takes personal responsibility for his life. This means that the husbandman must know from the Word of God what God has ordained him to do, and he does it with joy. This is what makes him keep growing as the good and godly man, husband and father.
For the path of the just man is like a shining light that shines brighter and brighter unto a perfect day (Pro.4:18)
God wants the husbandman to grow and keep growing in knowledge, understanding and wisdom in the fear of God. God wants the husbandman to be a better version of himself in Jesus. God wanted the husbandman, Abram, to grow up (Gen.17:1). God wanted Abram to be better in character and attitude. God wanted him to be mature. And that is what God wants for you.
But the husbandman must play his own part in this growth process by taking personal responsibility to walk and work in the Word.
When I was a child, I spake like a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child, but when I became a man, I put away childish things (1Cor.13:11)
As the husbandman, God wants you to put away childish behaviours (Rom.12:2). God wants you to overcome your insatiable appetite for food, sex and power. God wants you to put away bitterness, hatred, unforgiveness, envy, and uncontrolled anger, lack of generosity, bad will and laziness from your life.
But must I do to grow as the husbandman so I become like Jesus Christ to my wife, my children and in the marketplace?
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to grow in Your word for my life as the man, husband and father.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, let Your word dwell richly in me and let it influence my walk and work.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to dominate the influences of the flesh and make me to live by Your word.
FAITH CONFESSION
I take personal covenant responsibilities for my growth and development because that is the pathway for me to continue to grow and develop into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.

Please, pray this prayer in faith.
Lord, Jesus, I come to you today, just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
