Prophecy & Assurance: There is a husband reading today’s devotional. You have given up on your desire to become the good and godly husbandman. It seems all your best efforts at becoming like Jesus have failed. The Spirit of the Lord is saying to you, hold on. Only God can work it for you.
Today’s teaching is to help the husbandman understand that he cannot become the good and godly man, husband and father by his own power or by his own might, but only by the Spirit of God. So, hold on! Don’t give up!
Wherefore, my beloved, as all of you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. FOR IT IS GOD WHICH WORKETH IN YOU BOTH TO WILL AND TO DO OF HIS GOOD PLEASURE. Do all things without murmurings and disputings (Philippians 2:12-14)
The emphasis in Philippians chapter 2 is in verse 13, which says that it is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. A lot of the time, the husbandman thinks he can do those things that please God by his own wisdom and strength. At other times, he uses his human ability and thinks that it will also help. In both ways, the husbandman struggles to walk in ways that please God.
It is not by power nor by might but by my Spirit saith the Lord (Zech.4:6)
It is the Spirit of God at work in you that empowers you to do the perfect will of God for your life as the good and godly man, husband and father. Only God can help you submit to and obey Him in all things. Only God can empower you to walk in love and live a life of righteousness and holiness.
So, how do I access the power of God that will empower me to do His perfect will as the husbandman?
The principal way you can access the power of God for empowerment to do His perfect will is through the weapon of prayer of faith and fasting (Lev.6:9, Mk.9:29, Jas.1:3-7). The prayer platform is the altar of empowerment (Acts 2:1-4, Acts 4:23-31, Gal.4:13).
Every change you want to see in your life can be conceived and birthed on the prayer altar. It takes much more than physical strength to transform a change of character. It takes spiritual warfare to make positive changes possible.
Are you ready pray the word of God to God for empowerment to becoming the good and godly husbandman? Are you ready to pray in the Holy Ghost and keep declaring your victory and new personality in Christ?

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me an effectual praying husbandman.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to continue to connect to Your power to fulfill Your perfect will.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me not to be discouraged in praying for the needed changes that I desire to see in my life as the man, husband and father.
FAITH CONFESSION
I continue to stand in prayer for empowerment to do the perfect will of God because I want to be the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
