I have discovered from Scriptures that the perfect will of God for the husbandman is to be like His Son, Jesus Christ. God doesn’t want him to remain as a baby in the things of the word of God, but to develop into sonship.
But how does he grow into the full image of Jesus Christ?
As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby…(1Pet.2:1b)
The Word of God provides you with the ingredient you need to grow into becoming the good and godly husbandman. The word of God says that if you want to grow in the things of God for your life as the good and godly man, husband and father, you must take in the word of God. The more of God’s word you take in, the same way a baby takes in nutritious milk to grow, the quicker you grow and develop into the full stature of Christ in thoughts, words, and actions. Praise God!
Now, why do I need to feed on the word of God to grow and be like Jesus Christ?
A great and effectual door has been opened to you, but there are many adversaries.
There are visible and invisible forces that want to hinder you from becoming like Jesus Christ as you walk the face of the earth (1Cor.16:9). But by the weapon of the word of God, you can overcome these forces.
Forever O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven (Ps.119:89)
The word of God is the truth, and it contains the principles that you need to live as the good and godly husbandman. God’s words are enduring and unchanging.
The word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path (Ps.119:105)
The word of God provides direction that will lead you to act, conduct yourself, and respond in ways that are pleasing to God as you relate with and lead your wife and children.
For we all with an open face beholding as in a glass, the glory of the Lord are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord (2Cor.3:18)
The word of God changes and transforms. The more you feed on the word by studying and thinking on it, the more you experience transformation in your spirit and your soul.
Therefore, you must make a firm decision today to be like Jesus Christ by feeding on the word of God and walking with the Person of the Holy Spirit for help and guidance (Jn.14:26). That is the perfect will of God for you as the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the name of Jesus, have mercy upon me for refusing to desire the pure milk of Your word.
- Father, in the name of Jesus, empower my life to grow by Your word.
- Father, in the name of Jesus, empower me to be like Jesus Christ by Your word.
FAITH CONFESSION
I desire and drink from the pure word of God to grow and be like Jesus Christ because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
