Did you have any idea what your heavenly Father’s will is for you as the husbandman? Did you know why God gave you a wife and children? Did you know the purpose God sent you into the lives of your wife and children and gave you a home?
The word of Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman, answers the questions in the Gospel of John chapter 6.
For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which sent me, that of all which he hath given me, I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day (Jn.6:38-39)
Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman, says that he came down from heaven to do God’s perfect will. And that perfect will is to preserve and protect all that God has given to Him. And because you are like Christ in your home, and a custodian of God’s resources (your wife and your children), God wants you to do as Jesus Christ did. Jesus protected and preserved all that God had given to Him. God wants you to protect and preserve your wife and children from the assault of satan, sin and the world (Jn.10:10).
But how do I enforce the perfect will of God to protect and preserve my wife and children?
As the husbandman, you can fulfill the perfect will of God by the revealed knowledge of the truth from the Word of God. This means that you must keep searching the Bible to find out the truth and then continue to apply yourself to it (Jn.8:32, Jn.14:26, 2Tim.2:15).
You must also give yourself to prayer and fasting so you can be empowered to operate in the wisdom, strength, and faith of God (Is.61:9, Gal.4:19, 1Pet.3:7, Eph.5:25-27).
You must keep declaring what God has said in His word concerning His perfect will for your life as the man, husband and father, regardless of unpleasant circumstances (Rom.10:10).
God wants you to keep what He has given to you. God doesn’t waste resources, so He is reminding you today to awake from your slumber and be intentional in fulfilling His perfect will for your life as the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me by the Spirit of Your word to protect Your treasures.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me by the Spirit of faith to secure Your treasures from being stolen by satan, sin and the world.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to exercise Your kind of authority as the gatekeeper.
FAITH CONFESSION
I am the gatekeeper and I have the mandate of God to fulfill the perfect will of God as the man, husband and father that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
