CULTIVATE YOUR WIFE’S INNER BEAUTY

Have you ever considered the best way to cultivate your wife so that she becomes all that you ever desire in a woman, wife and mother? Do you know what it takes to enjoy the aroma of your wife even after so many years of marriage? Well, I want to share the secret with you today and I pray that in the Name of Jesus Christ, you will give yourself to what it takes to cultivate your wife till she becomes a woman of honour.

Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in. The Holy women of old were beautiful before God, and in that way were good, loyal wives to their husbands. Sarah, for instance, taking care of Abraham, would address him as my dear husband. You will be true daughters of Sarah if you do the same, unanxious and unintimidated (1Pet.3:4-6).

The strength of your wife is not first her physical beauty. It is first her inner beauty. And that has to do with an inner person that craves for holiness, loyalty, responsiveness, respect, dignity and submission. You must understand that it is when your wife’s inner person has fully grown in submission, loyalty, respect and truthfulness that she can submit to, respect you, be truthful to and be loyal to you. But why am I responsible for cultivating the inner beauty of my wife?

This is why. God commands you to do it from the beginning. And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it (Gen.2:15). Another translation says, protect and cultivate. Everything that God gives to you if for you to cultivate it because you will always be the first beneficiary of the work you do for them. The husbandman that laboureth shall be the first partaker of the fruits (2Tim.2:6). So, you are not wasting your time teaching, praying and acting in good faith to your wife. In Ephesians chapter 5, the Bible has this to say. Husbands love thy wives as Christ even as Christ has loved the church and gave himself for it, that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing but that it should be holy and without blemish. (Eph.5:25-27).

So, how do you cultivate her inner beauty? First, you pray and teach her those Christ-like nature such as truthfulness, integrity, submission, faithfulness, forgiveness, kindness and so much more (Gal.4:19). The second step you must take is to act like Jesus Christ to her by being open, truthful, loyal, faithful, prayerful, submissive, forgiving, kind and so much more to your wife (Acts 1:1). You must understand that you are the shepherd and your wife is a member of your sheep. You owe her that godly duty to help her become all that God wants her to be.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to give attention to the inner yearnings of my wife and help me to respond to her swiftly.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, give me wisdom on how to teach my wife and help her develop godly character.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me count positively in the life of my wife.

FAITH CONFESSION 

I take responsibility to cultivate the inner person of my wife with the word of God and through personal intercession until she becomes godly because that is what makes me the good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
