Sometime ago, I was teaching my eldest child triangles and other shapes in Mathematics. And as I went through the various angles-30, 60, 90,180 and 360- I observe something significant. It is the angle 360. It is the only angle that goes around. You can start from one point, go around and return to the same point where you left off from. While this truth dawned on me, the Person of the Holy Spirit, my Greatest Teacher and Helper began to teach me the significance of this to the husbandman who wants to be the godly man, husband and father.
And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness and let him have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air…….So, God created man in his own image…..And God blessed them and God said unto them be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth (Gen.1:26-28). If you study this Scripture, you will realize that you are a completely established husbandman. Inside you is a man of dominion and authority, a fruitful husband and a flourishing father. God made you complete because He has put inside you the capacity to succeed in leading your wife and children. He wants you to be the good and godly man, husband and father indeed to your wife and children. He doesn’t want you to fail in any of your responsibility to your sheep. God wants you to be THE ESTABLISHED SHEPHERD- THE 360 DEGREE ROUNDED HUSBAND.
But how you become an established husbandman? Firstly, it means you must have a relationship with God, Who made you the head of your family. No husband can safely and successfully navigate his sheep fold without the help of Jesus Christ. This is why the word of God says, a man can receive nothing except it be given him from heaven (Jn.3:27). The strength, wisdom and courage you need to lead your wife and children can only come from God, the Father of Light. It does not come from your age count, money in the bank, the size of your chest or the amount of material possessions you have. It doesn’t even come from your educational qualification or the position you occupy. Like my father in the faith would say, God is all you need to have all your needs met. Secondly, it means to have uncommon abilities and anointing which flows from you to your wife and children. As the good shepherd, God has deposited inside you tremendous capacity to function at your best-mentally, physically and spiritually. You are anointed to pray for and recover the health of your wife and children. You are anointed to break every generational curse in your family lineage. You have been anointed to destroy every satanic stronghold hanging around the lives of your wife and children.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, reveal myself to me and empower me to walk in the truth.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, set me free from ignorance.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me to be my best in You as the man, husband and father.
FAITH CONFESSION
I access the truth from God’s word about my make up as the godly husbandman and I walk in that truth for the benefit and good of my wife and children because that is what makes me the godly shepherd in Jesus Name. Amen.
