But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride, and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the Lord’s flock is carried away captive. Jer.13:17. Every time I study the book of Jeremiah chapter 13 and verse 17, I shudder in fear because from the Scripture and through the Person of the Holy Ghost, I understand that satan always plans to hold our sheep captive, but it is your responsibility and mine to stop the devil and where our sheep have been held captive, we must rescue them.

This Scripture gives a graphic account of what has happened to most homes today. Their wives and children have been held captive by the force of alcohol, uncontrolled appetite, drugs, gangsterism, cultism, prostitution, ungodliness and much more. As the head of your family so much is expected from you. As a spiritual authority in your home, it is not right for your wife or children to be held captive by the power of immorality, drugs, fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, covetousness, malice, filthy communication and much more (Col.3:5-8).

Every time your wife and children are held bond, it hurts God. God is unhappy when your wife cannot enjoy good health. God is not pleased when your wife cannot give you a child. God is never happy when your children become wayward in their ways. It will amaze you that God weeps anytime there is no peace in your home. Therefore, you must rise up and rescue your wife and children from the bond master-satan. In Lk.10:19, Jesus Christ, our Groom, says that you have been given power to trample. By this singular authority, you can revive that lost friendship you once had with your wife and children, break the power of sin in their lives and keep the devil forever away from their lives.

But how do I get this assignment done as the head of the family? Firstly, by exercising your authority in Christ Jesus. God has put inside of you authority and power to speak against those ungodly attitudes that your wife and children are displaying. God has empowered you to stop the mouth of the lion from devouring the health and joy of your flock. If you don’t exercise this authority, satan will continue to hold your flock in bondage. Secondly, you must awaken your relationship with the Person of the Holy Spirit. The deeper your relationship is with the Person of the Holy Spirit, the greater your depth of revelation that will put you in command of the affairs of your family fold. Now, this is the verdict for you. You have watched the harassment of the enemy on your wife and children long enough. Now is the time for you to act. Give it all you can to make them all they can be in Jesus Christ.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, by Your Spirit, inspire Your word in my heart to do great signs at home and in the lives of my wife and children.
• Father, by Your Spirit, as I declare Your word to every challenge, please bring solutions speedily.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, manifest Your greatness in the lives of my wife and children as I lead them.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am a good shepherd ordained to manifest signs and wonders, shielding my wife and children from every trap of satanic captivity because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
