INSIDE EVERY HARVEST

I have had so many encounters with the Person of the Holy Ghost which have helped to redefine and improve my life. And one of these is in finances. I pray that the Person of the Holy Spirit would reveal the depth of this revealed truth to you thereby helping you to make the most of your leadership position as the godly shepherd over your wife and children.

One of the areas that you and I need help is in finance. We need the help of God to manage the financial and material resources in our possession. So many husbandmen have gotten themselves involved in acts that are ungodly because they want to make money. Others have become a “a former rich man”.  Sadly, those who cannot cope with their financial struggle have committed suicide. And this is why I believe the Person of the Holy Spirit has prompted me to teach on it today.  Now let us begin.

There are three things inside every harvest. The things are the harvest, the fruit and the seed. Take for instance, you farm a crop like a mango. At the due time, you would harvest. Inside the harvest is the fruit and the seed. You are expected to eat the fruit and sow (plant) the seed. If you do this, you will enjoy a continued flow of harvest. Now, this is the lesson for you and I whom God has placed to oversee His sheep.  Firstly, when God blesses you with financial blessings, the blessings have inside it the fruit and the seed. Secondly, you are expected to eat the fruits and plant the seed. For example, God gives you a financial breakthrough. It is expected that you do not spend everything. Rather, you separate your fruit from the seed. And what do you do with this seed? You sow it.

Now, how do you sow your seed? Principally, you give your tithe. The Scriptures tell us about the importance of tithing. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heave and pour you a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. (Mal.3:10). If you read very closely Proverbs chapter 3 and verse 9, you will see the relevance of giving your tithe. So, once you receive that financial blessing, take away your tithe and give it as unto God and not as unto man. The second action point you must take is to give to your wife and children. What this means is that you could buy your wife a gift, not necessarily expensive but valuable. You can also give to your children. Thirdly, you give to your parents and parents-in-law. Fourthly, you give to members of your immediate family, however small it may be. And as you eat the fruits and sow the seed from your harvest, you will continue to enjoy the rewards of your giving.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the name of Jesus, give me understanding and fill my heart with financial wisdom.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, open my eyes to see who I need to give my financial seed and let it bear greater harvests in my life.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from careless living and indulgences.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have the Spirit of Christ in me and I walk in divine wisdom in the management of God’s financial resource in my care because I want to be the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
