COMMUNICATE THESE FOUR THINGS (1)

By the grace of God and the power of the Spirit, we shall be considering four key areas of your life that God commands you to communicate to your wife. I pray in the name of Jesus that your heart will be opened to receive instructions as the Person of the Holy Spirit will be communicating to you.

Now, what are the four areas that you must communicate to your wife? The first is your vision. The second is your victories. The third is your emotion and the finally your expectations.

So, today, let us consider the first. It is your vision. Without a vision for your life and family, you will end up a frustrated and depressed man, husband and father. Vision is the unseen force that keeps you awake and unrelenting, no matter the challenges or obstacles that may confront you as you lead your wife and children.

Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. The said the Lord unto me, thou hast well seen, for I will hasten my word to perform it (Jer.1:11-12). What do you see about yourself as the leader over your wife, children and family? What have you envisioned about your wife, your children and your home? And very importantly, have you communicated your vision to your sheep? Have you shared what you have seen from the word of God concerning how to relate with them to create the God-ordained home of peace, love and joy? The Scripture says this, and I want you to dwell on it for a moment. Where there is no vision, the people perish (Prov.29:18). A lot of the times, you seem tired and find your relationship with your wife and your leadership role uninteresting. The reason is because you have no vision and you have not communicated same.

There is a plan that God has prepared for you, your sheep and sheepfold. All of the good and glorious plans are in the Bible. As the head of the family and the leader of God’s sheep (your wife and children), you have the responsibility to share with them what you can see from God’s word about them.

But you must recognize two important truths. The first is that your vision for yourself, your wife, children and home come from God. This is because God made you and your sheep. Secondly, God has also ordained you to provide good and godly leadership to your wife and children. Jesus said that He came so that you can live the abundant life (Jn.10:10). This is what you must see concern your sheep and sheepfold. You must envision abundance of joy, laughter, unity, patience and kindness between you and your sheep. No matter the present negative challenges in your home and between you and your wife and children, let the vision God has for you and your sheep motivate you never to surrender your wife, children and home to satan, sin and the world. What can you see from God’s word for your life, wife, children and home?

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

·        Father, in the Name of Jesus, give me hearing ears and seeing eyes to see and hear Your will for my life and my relationship with my wife and children.

·        Father, in the Name of Jesus, fill my heart with faith and courage to pursue after Your divine plan for my sheep and sheepfold.

·        Father, in the Name of Jesus, continue to unfold Your glorious vision to me as I lead my wife and children.

FAITH CONFESSION

I see from Scriptures the perfect plan of God for my life, my wife, children and home and I run with this vision with vigour, commitment and faith because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
