BECOMING THE GODLY HUSBANDMAN

Spread the love

Main Scripture: Gen. 1:26

More scriptures: Gen. 2:15-16, Gen. 2:18, Jn. 3:1-end

To become a godly husbandman is your greatest desire, if you want to be useful to your wife, children and the world. Godliness is what invites the power, person and presence of God into your life and home. But why should I become the good and godly husbandman? It is the key with which you can access the wisdom of God that will help you lead your wife and children in all godly living. In Gen.1:26, God created the husbandman, Adam with the sole aim of making him another god. And this is what explains why when God placed him in the family, He commanded him to dress and keep his family (Gen.2:14-15).

God has commanded you to become a godly husbandman. You must understand that becoming a godly man, husband and father is God’s design for you. He created you in His image and likeness. You have the gene of godliness in you. All you need to do is to activate the gene. Remember that the first husbandman was godly as long as he obeyed the instructions of God. Unfortunately, he disobeyed God and lost his family and glory as the head of the family.

But what do I need to do to start functioning as the godly husbandman? You have to have your root in Jesus Christ by accepting Him as your Lord and personal saviour. A relationship with Jesus Christ is the surest foundation that sets you on the path of glory, honour and dignity. No other relationship outside Jesus can set you on high. As long as the first husbandman maintained a relationship with God, he did not lose his glory. Nothing will keep your godly heritage intact like having and maintaining a truthful and sincere relationship with the Groom, Jesus. It doesn’t matter how wrong and long your life may have been, you can start anew with Jesus again. He is your hope and your sure foundation.

Therefore, take a decision today and surrender your life to Jesus and watch Him turn you to a husbandman that will walk in righteousness and command glory, honour and dignity in your family and work place and amongst your friends.
