DEVELOPING PERSONAL GOD PRINCIPLES (2)

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Gen.17:1-2, Jn.15:19, Jn.3:27, 1Jn.5:17-18

Yesterday, we began to consider the importance of developing personal godly principles as the godly husbandmen. The Person of the Holy Spirit through His word showed us four (4) areas where you and I must discipline ourselves as we take lead in providing godly leadership to our sheep. I am confident that you have written down these principles and ready to run with them this year 2022 and beyond.

Now the fifth is this. Practice politics with godly principles. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you (Jn.15:19) NIV. God chose you to occupy that political position in your community so that you can be light to the world in your conduct, character and behaviour. You will be hated for standing for righteousness but if you can remain in truth, God will protect and keep you in perfect peace. I will fight for you and you will hold your peace (Ex.14:14). Finally, worship God sacrificially with your time, money, skill and energy. A person can receive only what is given them from heaven (Jn.3:27) NIV. You must understand that you are a steward of God’s resources on earth, including the ones in your care. You own nothing but manager of everything. You must serve Him and the interest of His kingdom on earth.

All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death (1Jn.5:17) NIV. There is no small sin or big sin. The Bible says that all unrighteousness is sin. And because you are the good and godly husbandman, made in the image and likeness of Jesus Christ, you must walk in holiness and righteousness. We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin……(1Jn.5:18a) NIV.

Start this year great! Live by godly principles and experience the blessings of the Lord that makes rich and adds no sorrow to it.
